Ok rhino. Thanks for the help and I will call them to see. :) My theory is "Hey, more money, sure we'll help you!"

No need to cancel the order, give the universal ticket store a call and they can go ahead and modify your order from a 1 day pass to an annual pass. You just have to pay the difference in price, that's all. Hope that helps.

After so long of following certain people on twitter and this forum I don't know in real life I feel like I know them a little anyway. This just brought a smile to my face.

So I have been reading the DIS boards, and I have to say that there are some real crazies over there. Makes the eccentrics on this board look normal! They've got people typing complaint letters to Universal because they aren't given "exclusive" access to the park. I guess they don't want to bump elbows with the general public/hotel guests during their preview? What a bunch of snobos.

I am looking forward to AFTER the grand opening, when we see less of this "Are softs running, is FJ working?" posts, and more of the "We went to IOA today, and the WW surpassed all expectations" kind of posts. Oh well, in due time I guess.

I really wish Universal would just open the gates, just so I don't have to read about them not allowing people in on a daily basis...

That is why I don't read the DISboards. The site is good for information, but the forums? Not so much.

Yeah, it's a shame seeing so many people doing nothing but complaining over there :( but I try and stay out of that side of it.
Looking forward to buying the 4-pack of pumpkin juice! Man, I'm going to have to leave a major gap in our luggage to fit in some HP stuff! I was really hoping to not go over our dollar budget, since we ordered the dollars when the rate was excellent compared to now, but credit card may have to come into it :(

honeybee I would just call Universal customer service..they are usually pretty helpful..and will be glad that you arent calling to bitch about Harry Potter land not being opened yet.

If your tickets are on will call, maybe they can cance your order. Universal likes making money, and if you want to upgrade your tickets they will probably be happy to help.

Speaking of making money...Universal is totally stupid with the limited softs for WW..it would be SUPER easy for them to open the park, and just keep Forbidden Journey in softs until they get the bugs worked out. Plus they would make tons in merch and food/beverage profits. I honestly don't know WHAT they are thinking over there. It sounds like they are already paying the employees to basically sit in costume for no customers... so strange!

More than likely they're still hammering out crowd control issues because of the major bum rush that will insue once they fling open those gates for everyone

that's so ridiculous. when i was in there yesterday, it wasn't even crowded. the waits on the rides were 10-15 and there was room to move around. so for them to complain about not getting their experience is just them putting themselves on a pedestal because right now, you can manage to see everything within an hour.

Yeah, but I still think it would be smarter to just open NOW, when the crowds arent crazy. Grand Opening Weekend is not the ideal time to test crowd control. I really think the island will be open ALL day starting next week. At least I hope so. The ride is the only thing that seems to have issues from what I've read.

Universal made these stores super small for aesthetic purposes, and it will surely bite them in the ass once the mass of people fling open the gates.

Thank you so much Rhino and Latveria. I called and upgraded my tickets.

So now we will be going multiple days to the WWoHP!!! Everyone has it as their priority and so we will all be happy campers. Now I just need to get some prices on resturants in and around Uni since our new hotel is between it and SeaWorld.

Have you ever been to Orlando? There are like 2,000 places to eat.

If you are refering to places inside Universal City Walk....I always thought Jimmy Buffet's had decent food for the price..which isn't exactly cheap, but pretty standard for theme park prices. We usaully eat there instead of inside the park for lunch.

Oh jeez! If you guys ever make me mad, just post that link and I'll realize how much worse it could be.

"My Mommy and Daddy got us a package and I don't want to share it with a limited amount of other people." WAAAAH!:'(

The only thing that was promised and has been kept up to this point is the hour before park opens. Nowhere does it say that they will be the only ones in the WWoHP.

--- Update ---

This will be our first ever trip to Orlando. Anywhere around the Uni area or SeaWorld area would be great.

We've had a few reviews and some on the Spoiler thread. But everyone's opinion is nice to know.

Also any reviews on merchandise, prices, etc would be appreciated as well.

The only complaint package holders really have is that it is only open until noon. I know it really is 10 AM, but we all know they have been holding it open until noon and not kicking people out. But the exclusive is not something they can be upset about. The package people were guaranteed 1 hour, not the entire day. They are getting their one hour and the the GP is let in, so what is the big deal? I don't understand what this persons deal is. Plus why don't they wait until they get there, because from what I understand most people are able to do everything they want in that time frame, even during the busy holiday weekend.

People need to calm down until they actually know what is going to happen.

Ok just got back to the house, and yet again denied. I was at IOA at 8:40 and waited until opening. Made a mad dash to Potter only to see yellow polo's saying no not for you. My only complaint about the whole thing is that we were told and those who waited will back me up on this, "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will NOT BE OPEN for you, I can PROMISE YOU THIS, you can not wait here and must either turn around and leave or cross the bridge you cannot stay here." So I left, I followed the rules, and then got a text from thelastashen saying were in. I run from Citywalk and get there and turned away again. I understand this is previews and nothing is guaranteed but don't promise people its not opening tell people to leave and then open it twenty minutes after. Ok I feel some what better had to get that off my chest.

Universal and SeaWorld are close to a road called Internatioanl Drive..on that road and in that area there is a restaurant on every other corner. I should warn you though that it's a "traffic pit" and I avoid it in the morning, and in the early evening at all costs.
