The Goblet of Fire was running again today. From @GetReadytoRide: http://yfrog.com/2g3m3jj

Does anyone know why it is running on and off? It doesn't seem like it's that complicated of an effect.

Okay guys so I am editing over 200 photos from today.....wow..... Well got in at 9am! Waited about 25 - 30 min for FJ. As I said during preview I tried the test seat and although that said I couldn't do it after talking to team members they said that I should fit....well got on the ride at load sat down and got it down 2 clicks....sadly that is not enough I was pulled off and they sent me to a secondary load platform (One for the wheelchairs)....Anyways I was lucky that a friend of mine was there and I told him he could push on the restraint as hard as possible. Luckily he got me to 3 clicks (Yeah!) but I will be honest guys I could not take deep breaths and it was uncomfortable. If it had been someone else at that station I may not have been able to fit......So glad I could go though! The ride was amazing and I am glad to have had this chance to ride.

I got so many photos, quiet a few that are some detail stuff as well as general photos. The rides closed off the queues near 11am and we were there till way after 12ish.......I can't wait to go back the 10th since that is when I have booked a hotel stay to have the 1 hour early.

I'm happy you were able to ride. Can't wait to see a few of the pics.

And to quote JKR's site:
"For those who are interested in the trees assigned to the different parts of the Celtic year, below is the chart that I used. I apologise to any Celtic tree experts out there for any inaccuracies I may have reproduced (I have found slight variations between sources since I first came across this information.)"

So thats where all my questions came from on what chart they (WWoHP) were using. They seem to be definately using hers, the "Potterverse" one.

That is indeed a strange calendar. Everyone I have ever seen is 13 months/phases with 13 wood types. J.K. is not really that far off. The only thing is a true calendar goes by the phases of the moon and not by dates, so the dates aren't necessarily perfectly accurate, but they're in the vicinity on average.

Yeah I agree, but I also find JKR's a little odd, Im July and according to her chart Im Holly - even on other celtic charts Ive seen Holly and Ivy are December. (hence the xmas references?). Thats what really got me searching.
As Ive said before, Im not a Potter-head, not really versed in the Potterverse, so I was really interested in what info they were using out there.

The GP has been getting in the last few days. Just make sure you are there early when the park opens. They only let a certain number in and that also depends on hotel guests and if the rides are operating properly.

Universal decided to give me a great birthday gift. They opened Potter for EVERYONE from 9 to 10. I had already seen Hogsmeade on Potter Preview for employees so that wasn't my focus, Forbidden Journey was. Focused I did. I have 5 rides under my belt with atleast another 1 Saturday. This is seriously the best ride I've been on. The technology is like Simpsons+Spiderman*4. It was a phenomenal attraction. The people who are booking the rooms just to ride Potter aren't being disappointed because that attraction is great. I hope they do more softs just because I think everyone deserves to ride this ride it's great. I won't ruin it for anyone but it legit scared me in one part. It was crazy. I had a great time. I highly recommend this to anyone that is a Potter or Theme Park fan because it's a great attraction.

I guess no bigger guys/gals who post here have been on FJ yet. Well tomorrow should be the day I know if I am lucky or not. Don't have a good feeling about it though.

It really comes down to Upper Chest and How Broad your shoulders are. We met a guy in the parks who was from the UK and he rode with us the 1st two times we rode Forbidden Journey and he was able to fit and he was a big dude, probably 6'2" or 6'3" but his shoulders weren't crazy wide. I would say get in line wait, and then try the test bench, and not the test seat. Those lock down and worse comes to worse you get to see the line as well.

Does anyone know how likely it is for softs to occur this Saturday?

I went on Wednesday and I absolutely loved it, plus I was able to ride Forbidden Journey twice. I hope they have softs on Saturday, I'm going to get there early anyways.

Other guest were talking about softs happening. 3 days in a row is a good sign, but you never know how long that window might be. It could be an hour like it was today or it could be 3 minutes like it was yesterday.

OFFICIAL SITE UPDATE!

I have no idea if this has already been posted seeing as I haven't followed the forums as much as I was, but now on the official wizarding world site you can "enter the experience" when you click on Hogwarts! Pretty neat fly through!
