I know what you mean, when I was there on Saturday I saw people walking around with bags and a wand in them and I wanted to jump them to steal it

I already have a pre-list of things I want to buy, and not to mention what else I might find.

Yeah I made a list too, and things just seem to keep adding on to it gradually ;)
I'd have expected them to order a TON of product, because how could they not forsee this?

I have a list as well!! Danielle posted on Twitter that she was nosy and overheard someone in Filch's spent $1,200! That could be so easy to do.

And as more people post pics of merchandise, my list grows longer and longer. I think I just heard my debit card whimper.

haha! Omr, I would have never thought they did. I guess I will need to buy one and see if mine is cuddily too. I just dont see how something so sturdy and odd shaped can be cuddily. I thought the house scarfs looked cuddily though.

If youre looking for cuddly, the Pink Pygmy puffs are not to be missed - both my daughters went nuts over them. (especially the 5 year old!!)

Do you remember how much a Pygmy Puff was? My 8 year old might have to have one.

A lot of the merchandise is currently sold out, you would be surprised the quantity that was delivered back to the Universal hotels the first few days. Their supply lines obviously did not expect this level of demand.

Yes, a LOT is gone. I was there Tues, and Wed, and Wed AM they were already out of brooms, postcards, stamps, etc.

We were also told that a LOT of merch hasnt even arrived yet - they have 3 or 4 of the Olivanders wands that have not arrived at all - so they are "faking" it with available wands (the birthday/calendar choosing). So, if youre a real Potter Head and want the right wand for you, be careful and double check with the clerk in the shop before purchasing: cause what they give you in Olivanders might not actually be "your" wand right now!

Speaking of stealing wands, I actually found one in Honeydukes that someone had left, but I'm a nice person who handed it off to a TM who found the actual owner :P

Knowing that things are out of stock, though, makes me want to go back even more. Here's hoping for Saturday and a couple days next week before schools let out.

Need...more...butterbeer.

Also, Pygmy Puffs are 12.95 plus tax, I believe.

Yesterday, Victoria could apparently use her AP discount? Which was weird...and made me angry. I wanted to use mine...and could have saved four dollars or so if I had. :'(

Universal most likely did order a ton of product, I suspect their suppliers are trying to produce it within their existing capacity...were not confident or able to add to existing production capacity....hard to invest in this economy.

As for me I am heading back for a short trip tomorrow with friends who want to try to get in (one of which who sadly prob. won't fit on FJ) so keep an eye out for me I won't be in my robe I bought but i will be wearing my gray Slytherin t-shirt so feel free to yell if you see me.[/QUOTE by DFB]

Hay DFB, you were there, how were the seats and how do you think larger geusts will fit, i have yet to hear a definite size dimention. i read on another forum that a guy was 5'8 and 240 pounds and was turned away, and im like the same size so im a bit scared, but then i read a 6 foot guy that was 255 pounds fit in it, so i dont know what to think

They were only 12.95 - one of the better buys in Potterland in my opinion: they really look great: and they give you a "show" when one is purchased, they ask you to name it, they ring a bell and announce that one is going home. The kids love it.

--- Update ---

Just follow-up on the wands: I know for sure as of yesterday we were told they had not received any shipments of Holly, Ash, or Vine. (birthdates in March, July, and Sept respectively). Just FYI ahead of time.
We decided to go ahead for now with a couple of the "hero" wands (Harry and Hermoine respectively) and wait until they get the 'right' ones in stock for the Olivanders ones. But we are lucky enough to be local, so we can wait.

Thanks! Too bad they only have pink. In the book there were a bunch of different colors. I wonder if they sing on Boxing Day....

I really hope they get in the wands before we come. My brother has a September birthday. One question, is there just one wand for every month?

Really?! I am so excited now, haha. A Pygmy Puff (as I've said a couple times) is one of the things I KNEW I wanted. Now I need to come up with a good name so I won't be on the spot.
What does everyone else's list look like? I'm curious what the more popular products among the boards are.

Okay, I don't know if this was already mentioned, but I know someone was asking about it yesterday. Sorry if this is a repeat =/

Dragons are: $25 and $22
Pygmy Puffs: $13

(I rounded, so they're really like $24.95, etc.)

I wont swerar to it, they "say" the wood type is based on the gaelic calendar, but the calendar I looked up online had 32 types of wood, and the wood types there didnt match up correctly anyway. (Holly was listed for December).
So I think they are still "fudging" it a bit.

I peeked at the chart they had yesterday, and dont quote me on this, but I seem to remember they had 13 or 14 types listed.

And I want to say they had 10 different wands currently in stock (Olivanders wands, not hero wands).
