I kind of like the thunder. It actually frightened me the first time I heard it!

The answer must be that 20-30 percent of the people slow down for photo moments and let people go by. I just recalled that the minute you enter the building after the greenhouse the photo moments begin big-time with people flagging you by. So, that must happen quite a bit even though I only saw it as I rushed by them (the statues in the first entry are far from fine art).

They must have been oooh'ing at the sight of you Vyrus. I stopped and turned around and watched the stupid rushing throngs and about 5 people giggled and kept on soaring through the room. It snows in the 3,4,5 rows back from the front. If you are in the first two rows you will never know that it snows at all. They should use a few key lights for it to shine through. Alas, they do not. Between the floating book and the snow one has to wonder why they bothered at all.

I still cannot figure out why the outdoors queue is backed up to a steady creep, yet, once inside, you can mostly slow jog through the castle and in a few places, run! That just makes no sense to me as it should be the other way around. Any thoughts on this?

That's what I found so frustrating when we visited there a few days after it had opened! The queue outside took almost 2 hours, but then once inside we were rushed through (place was deserted) the whole thing! Not even allowed to stop and watch the scenes! That just seemed crazy. Surely we'd much prefer to be spending that queue time inside being able to watch the scenes (and in the AC at the height of summer), than being outside then rushed through.

I didn't understand that at all. so no improvement?

The improvement is that they ask you to stand to the side if you want to look around/watch. I just stood to the side and put my hands on auto flag-by which worked well.

True, but the first couple of times I just wanted to ride the ride, next time I'm there I'll take in the details a little bit more thats for sure.

Yeah, and it is tough to do as it is so detailed that you end up on museum-like overload. I have thought of things I had meant to look at but did not. Example was that I was so interested in the musion that I forgot to look at anything else.

One thing that I did do on my second single riders was look up at the ceiling in the common room. For any of you who forgot to do so, it is THREE STORIES HIGH and themed all the way! Quite something.

Does anyone notice when you look backwards instead of forwards, on all the walls there are like these windows covered with red curtain. I see them EVERYTIME I look back throughout the whole castle.

Gonna have to check this out, pretty sad though. I have been on this ride probably 40-50 times and have never noticed this.

one thing that is great about this ride is that the line keeps on moving. About how many robot arms are on the track?

47-50

Also, the curtains on the walls are bizarre. There are two square curtain panels in the corridor between Dumbledore and Dark Arts.... I kinda lifted one of them and there are black panels of some kind behind them but it was just a quick glimpse. As it was my very first time, I did not want to risk getting thrown out. Perhaps they are the juice fill ups for the snow machines as they are just above that area.

Did anyone ever figure out what the small door is to the left of the entrance into the statue corridor from the greenhouse? I know but was wondering if anyone else has mentioned why it is there. Hint: It doesn't really go anywhere.

I went on tuesday and they weren't bad at all 30 min mid afternoon for Forbidden Journey, single riders line a walk on, and you could actually move in the shops that didn't have a line all the way down to the hulk to get in them.

Anyone else going to the Passholder event tonight?

i've been on the ride about a dozen times. if you notice those robot arms make a a lot of noise, the effects and music balance out the noise

Is it to try to get people to open the door so they can throw them out?

How are crowds in the parks on black friday? I am taking a few people with me on black friday to see the Wizarding World and I am wondering about how the crowds will be that day.

Here are a few pics from before the event started. I left before the event started but I can tell you right now it appeared as if it was going to be packed. Also shout out to Briman, thanks for hanging out had a great time drinking beer and making fun of people. Oh and how can anyone forget pink shirt and white shorts

Great pictures!

Believe it or not, according to the tweets I read tonight, the event was dead. Apparently, a large amount of people came to the event, got the pins and posters, and left. Not only that, but Universal ended up running out of the pins.

Word.

It was pretty dead after the first 30 - 45 minutes. It was pretty nice to see everything at night since I never got to see it. Pictures will be within the next day or two.
