Potter isn't the problem with the ads, its the fact that they have 3 pictures, when it should be 4, and 2 of them, granted are HUGE franchises in Spiderman and Potter, and granted Shrek is also a HUGE franchise as well, but its not a main attraction at USF. MIB, Mummy, and I guess Simpsons are yet they use Shrek cause of the mass appeal.

They had that Super Bowl commercial in 09 for that free ticket, but that only lasted a short time.

But yes, they need to grow their marketing beyond Potter.

That was a good idea in the sense of giving away all those free tickets, but I can't think of a worse ad they have ever come up with to showcase why people would want to go in the first place. It showed nothing of the resort.

I saw the report two days ago on Nightly News, just about the huge cold snap affecting the country. They were talking about how it's even cold down here, and the tourists who came down here expecting to escape the cold were sadly mistaken xD... They showed quite a few tourists in winter wear that's not normally seen down here and complaining about it rotfl...

Hey bob where do we want to go in Florida to show our viewers it's cold...

Well he mentioned the snow behind him was "artificial" and then began showing Disney, Sea World, etc and all of the people bundled up because of the cold and talked about the produce, etc...

If you visit the WWoHP, make sure you pick up one of these from Honeydukes. They are pure chocolatey goodness. They're Cauldron Cakes and might just be the best theme park snack I've ever tasted.

Just a follow up to the cold weather news. I worry that people don't believe how cold I said it got on my property just 8 miles from WDW. Read the temps listed in this short article in locations 100 miles south of me. Oh yeah, and you might want to run out and buy sugarcane sugar while you can!

When I was there on Saturday, I got in an hour early for staying onsite. The parked opened at 8am that day so we got in at 7 and headed straight for Forbidden Journey. Well, there was a problem with the startup cycle and the ride didn't start working until 8am. So staying onsite was pretty worthless in that sense. We were stuck in front of one of the first paintings and it was the most obnoxious things ever. It was some professor talking about a bug from Australia.

Well, if you know what happened before and on June 18, I'll just brief you on what's happened since (and it isn't much). The Dementor's Kiss effect was gone for quite a while, I think it's been running sporadically for now. Crowds have obviously dropped dramatically, although I think that changed as of the last two days xD. They've gotten Extendible Ears in Zonkos and the winter wear is very popular with our temperatures. Other than that, not much has happened...

I can't wait to go up there in the next month or so in order to experience Hogsmeade both empty and in the cold weather.

I wish they had a the xmas tree up though, where do you think they will be putting it next year?

Suppossedly its a carbon copy of the one from the first film, which means it is fairly large. The only spot with that much space would be in front of the 3 broomsticks, or in the area they hold the Tri Wizard Pep Rally and Frog Choir.

^ I agree, I think it will probably go in the Frog/Rally area, due to the fact that they won't perform in these temperatures.

hatetofly, great pics! Of course this isn't your fault, but I really don't like the way the lighting effects reflect on the clouds also. It looks better on a clear night.

Yeah the cloud cover was extremely heavy and I am still experimenting with different settings but thank you.

Some of them looked like orange backgrounds but in order to get the color without using a low light lense this is about the best I can get especially with the clouds.
