Have there been any updates on this in the last few months? I was assuming they're aiming to have this ready for sometime in 2024, but since it's been so quiet, I'd love to know if anyone's got some insight on what's going on, if anything's even started being built yet.

Expected opening in mid to late 2025. Major work I believe is expected to start next year’

Isn’t is part of whole expansion of the original Area 15 ?

I’m thinking they are trying to secure more tenants for the other aspects of the project.

It is a part of an expansion area but I don't think not having enough tenants will delay the opening of this attraction.

Well the more foot traffic they have the better so having the complete experience done all at once maximizes the money making potential.

The park, Universal Epic Universe, will usher in the use of facial recognition technology and will comprise four lands, including Super Nintendo World.

Wonder if a permanent Peele attraction would be a best-of or some kind of original concept (still salivating over that rumor that Hollywood was getting an original Peele house a few years back).

Original announcement mentioned Blumhouse and James Wan along with Peele. Feels safe to assume they'll have some kind of permanent presence as well.
