I like the mix and I wonder if the Exorcist space would be a naturally spot for a rotation into a revolving Blumhouse maze.

Putting my corporate accountant hat on, I think the answer to the “why do the Exorcist?” question is internal revenue and profits.

Similar to how UO has to pay to use the soundstages for HHN, internal allocations of revenue are attributed to different business lines, and if I was in charge of a studio that paid $400 million for the rights for a movie and had a captive project that should help offset that huge deficit that line item is, every penny counts. By licensing Exorcist, they get to point to interest in the IP and show money is coming in.

The fact that it's literally Las Vegas and there's not even a rumor for a Lady Luck casino house is extremely disappointing.
I wouldn't expect Lady Luck, but if it's a big success with the more recognizable IPs and simpler original concepts, I could definitely see them feeling more comfortable to branch out swapping one of them out for something Vegas inspired at some point, wouldn't expect it within the first year though.

Eh, while Vegas has a lot of uniquely themed resorts and offerings, I don't think something Vegas-themed within Las Vegas is a very good idea. That's the same line of thinking that lead to DCA 1.0.
You'd think so, but almost everything in Vegas is Vegas-themed, in a certain kind of way. Kinda the DCA 1.0 of tourist cities already.

I really can’t imagine Exorcist stays in place long, unless Flanigan’s reboot of the reboot does gangbusters.
They apparently had expanded rights to their entries of the franchise from their 400m Blumhouse deal, per some of the spin following Believer's flameout. I'm wondering if the maze will just be based on the Blum movies as a result.
