Here is a cool plant in Seuss commonly referred to as a Silver Leaf Princess Flower (Tibouchina heteromalla). The leaves are as velvety soft as they appear.

Love how they plant that area with material meant to be touched by young and old kids alike

^ Yessuh, and I am one of the biggest plant molesters there is. I must touch everything...

And on the opposite end of the spectrum is the Cardboard Palm (Zamia furfuracea). Not a palm but a Cycad, the leaves are harder than milk jug plastic. I took this photo at Leu Gardens in Orlando, but they can be spotted all over the parks.

Ultra perfect Disney... mobile hedgerows trimmed to be assembled as one. In this case, the shrub is Podocarpus.

I always enjoy seeing that hanging moss (or whatever it's called) on the trees when we do our Portofino to Citi Walk pathway hike.

Thanks. I was thinking that's what it was but I wasn't sure. It's very interesting to us from the northeast. Very different. And quite the unique look.

Once it gets light I'll post a pic of my backyard if you like moss.

Fun fact: spanish moss is not a moss at all and is more closely related to the pineapple, in that it is a bromeliad. :)

besides all the wonder (not) moss, you can pass through the butterfly garden when you get over by the Hard Rock:
