Well we haven't heard anything about "Potterquest" in a while, because they first need to get in-park WiFi for the guests. I guess their still testing.

Speaking of WiFi, maybe Universal ScreenPlay has to do with the in-park WiFi. Maybe its almost ready! :look: Who knows. We'll see when Uni says something.

The trademark for ScreenPlay indicates it's designed to be used by cellphones and wireless devices, so wireless will either come online before ScreenPlay or sometime shortly after.

The WiFi thing is in question because it was revealed that the equipment installed on top of the buildings was AT&T cellular extenders for their 4G (not LTE) network.

So the app is in the Apple and Android stores...and it's a game-type thing for in the park. No park info, no wait times.

Also, Universal currently has no informational app available.

How can this company be so inept when it comes to things outside of running and adding to a park?

So, Universal threatens guests who take pictures of Potter construction...then Universal designs and releases an app that basically forces you to take pictures of the Potter construction wall. Logic?

That are almost always wrong. I have 2 and they've yet to be right on a consistent basis.

My point still stands. It should be embarrassing to them that they don't have an official wait times app.

From what your saying, the apps are done by random people giving inconsistent updates on wait times.

I bet once they get in-park wifi, we will get a dedicated wait-time app.

Orlando Informer posted this pic this morning of what the app does. Augmented reality it looks like.

There are unofficial UOR wait time apps. I have one.

The unofficial ones are never as accurate as the real ones. They depend on people updating them when in the park. I agree, Uni needs to get on the boat and make an app like Disney has. It is very useful when I am in Disney and allows me not even to grab a map sometimes to see show times because it is on my app. Now that Disney has Wifi and I don't have to depend on cell signals, it is even better.

I just tried the app and it's pretty cool. Here's what the other pictures do. And here's a tip, if you can't wait to go to the park the app works with the pictures posted on the first page of this topic. ;)
