I wonder if it'll open to TMs first for stress testing then. Otherwise media might be the first to ride.

Do we know if they are going to be releasing more tickets for team members to bring family members now that friends and family days were extended?

Universal didn’t inherently say what could be shared. I just don’t think they anticipated the amount of “My Day at Epic” videos to come out like they did.

Very naive of Universal to not understand how many people would want to attend just to rush to be one of the first to monetize content with podcasts and youtube reviews.

Seems like this park already has a bit of a design flaw, being the lack of shade.

It’s not a flaw. The trees haven’t grown yet. Once they mature, the shade will come.

I don’t think the backtracking adds time (walking rarely takes that long) but it will inevitably make me annoyed, lol. The dead-ends at Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom or RnRC at Hollywood Studios already drive me insane — traveling from the back of Berk may actually kill me

Wait …someone with a user name called Dark Metroid hates backtracking ? This does not compute lol.

It’s also not finished yet— I know everyone wants to “be the first” with reviews and get those clicks, but it’s still rehearsals and the park is unfinished.

Things literally are changing day to day as new things arrive. I went with a TM and it was his fourth visit and so many little things had been added/changed just between his visits. In two months things may not be the same, and that’s also part of these rehearsals is to find issues and address them.

Imagine a Metroid ride where
You get to the end , kill Kraid or Ridley , grab the Chozo super missle power up, then backtrack to the load station and destroy a green door, which takes you to Mother Brain . followed by a countdown destruction escape launch coaster. Someone hire me. lol

That was the 1970s, not the 2020s.

I just hope down the line, they put up stylish canopies and arches for shade while the tress grow out (particularly in Celestial Park and Berk).

On the topic of people sharing impressions. There is no realistic assumption that word would not get out by team members or their guests. If UOR really wanted to control the narrative strict NDAs should have been signed by all guests before ending the park. They didn’t do that, and so the conclusion is more than expected.

Stuff grows fast in Florida. They cleared that hillside next to FJ of most of its foliage a few years back. Within two years it looked like a jungle. The backside of Diagon, facing Fear Factor theater, filled in within a year or so. Lots of complaints about Hagrid before opening on sightlines. Didn't take long for that to fill in and look like a deep deep forest. .....On Epic, trees and foliage will cover, and it won't take long.

Once again, they’re not finished and this is the whole point of previews to figure out where there may be issues like lack of shade. Benches, umbrellas, and other finishing touches are still arriving. Yes, this is the 2020’s and not the 70’s but a new park will always need tweaks when it leaps off the drawing boards and into real life.

Great to hear. And not only will the trees grow fast, its sounds, but it seems many are seasonally leafless right now to begin with. Look at the bare trees in this section alone (seen in a bioreconstruct video from just 2 weeks ago). If these were leafed out it could make a big difference.

Lots of covered tables and seating going up lately too. But yes, this park looks more and more complete every day. Workers doing incredible feats overnight and Team Members getting into the swing of things operationally every day. It’s so impressive how much has happened in just a few weeks.

And there’s still two months left.

Trees and more shade will come with time and other challenges will get worked out.
Personally, I am just thrilled Universal has added another world class theme park to Orlando.

This reminded me to specifically ask about general seating throughout the park. I've sensed a trend in other recent lands/expansions (at both Disney and Universal) to not offer much in the way of seating outside of food service locations, so what's it like in Epic (noting they are continuing to add/tweak things)?

Are there lots of places to just sit and enjoy the sights and sounds? I would expect not in Nintendo, given that Hollywood's doesn't have any of that, but elsewhere?
