Does anyone happen to have a high Res version of the map in the app? Trying to do some mockup plans for opening day using the map but havent been able to find a decent high quality one.

Now that Express Pass information is out, I can provide an updated wait-time model estimate for Epic Universe.

The picture below assumes 27K guests a day. (I am assuming that Ministry is operating at less than ideal capacity). These are estimate "real" wait-times that do not inflate posted waits to deter guests.

Yes, the math takes into consideration shows running throughout the day & guests doing non-ride experiences. My model assumes that for Epic Universe, about 43% of guests at anytime are actively either on a queue or ride itself. (For reference, due to the lack of entertainment at IOA, it roughly assumes ~47% of guests are in queues & rides). This is a "snapshot" of peak time at the park (early afternoon), the busiest a theme park gets.

Please see spoiler below for additional scenarios for Epic Universe & USF/IOA on an average.

Please let me know of any feedback you may have! I will adjust this as things change to help with your Epic planning.

So there’s just never going to be a chance DK is under a 45 minute wait. Great.

The data just paints one potential picture of a potential set of circumstances. I wouldn't use it as definitive.

I wouldn't say so, you could have a scenario where people favor other attractions early/later on in the day and the wait is minimal. This model assumes a fair distribution between attraction classification (during peak time once the park is settled). Eventually, I can modify this based on which attractions guests prefer. (Fyre Drill can be more popular, and that will reduce waits elsewhere, etc.)

Correct, just an estimate. Too many variables at play at the moment. However, my model does paint a picture as to how it'll shape up over time. It's quite clear that DK's capacity will lead to a very high wait-time.

I actually trimmed down the wait on DK just to avoid putting 120 out there first. Avg. wait at USJ is ~150... so far.

Opening day DK about to give Hagrid's 10-hour waits a run for its money

No im just kidding. But two-hour waits for DK after hotel guests already in line before park open and families rushing to Nintendo at open could be normal. (After opening day which does not have early entry)

90 mins at most for most of the rest of the day is my prediction. People may balk and walk to keeping it maintained at that level.

Yup - I think DK will end up being the resort's most popular attraction based on wait-time once Ministry of Magic is up and running efficiently. If you think Hagrid's avg. 90 minute wait is bad...

Plus we have to factor in the other Universal parks into the equation. While Epic will be the most popular for awhile I am sure that some park hopping will be going on.

Ah, that I did not know. That's surprising. Wonder how Universal will enforce that.

I mean you could buy a one day ticket to Epic and start off on the other campus, but that would be an expensive half day ticket

It's going to be Universal Orlando's Crush's Coaster. Decent, cute little coaster with some unique gimmicks that chronically carries excruciating queues. You gotta either be there right when it opens or be willing to wait at the end of the night.

Oh definitely. If you have one day at Epic then I wouldn't leave Epic until they throw me out.

But if you have a multiday, multipark access (if that is possible)... I haven't bought a Universal ticket in a long time. So I am not sure if Universal makes you pick which park and which days.

Those waits for Crush's Coaster can be brutal. I usually head immediately to the single rider line right after rope drop. One advantage DK will have at Epic is there will be a lot more competition than what Crush has. That park.....

When we went last spring, we sprinted from the turnstiles only to find it was down. After knocking out Ratatouille and the Toy Story rides, we circled back and found a "pre-queue" waiting for it to reopen. We joined that, and it's a good thing we did -- only ended up waiting about 20 minutes once they got it running, but it would've been at least 60 if we'd joined the line much later.

I'd expect a similar dynamic here if it can't open with the park. People will "pre-wait" for it to reopen.

So basically I can ride Stardust Racers 3 times instead of waiting for DK. Sounds like a plan
