I know you miss the entire queue for single ride on Monsters - how much do you miss with Express? (this is honestly a general question for all rides)

By far the harshest reviews are coming from ride/coaster enthusiasts ("they should have built more rides", "they should add flat rides", "they should have filled the whole park like a carnival", etc)

I saw a review where they did not like the amount of space the Cosmos fountain took up, and suggested it could've been used for a ride.

That is fair in regards to the fountain. But the design of the "land" wouldn't really allow for a ride right there. So it's kinda whatever. Besides, it gives people a place to sit .....in the brutal hot sun..

Celestial Park should have more offerings in some capacity only because they count it as a 5th Universe/land & the hotel literally sits where another land would've gone (ignoring the expansion pad behind Stardust/Dragons). That's probably where complaints of "not enough" will stem from.

You skip all outdoors stuff and a couple of the rooms of the main queue, but in my opinion it’s nothing too important. The preshows are main priority and Express does not skip them.

I still think it’s worth waiting in standby at least once to see the whole manor, but it doesn’t have to be your first ride as long as you don’t skip preshows.

EDIT: All the Express lines are good and don’t miss anything important for the whole park as far as I’m concerned.

So I've been at Epic today since Early Entry (they let us in at 8:30am) and I'm shocked. I expected today to be packed and it's been very dead. I've ridden Monsters Unchained 5x, Hiccups 2x, Mine Cart x1 and Yoshi's x1. It's only 2pm. Very happy I came here for my birthday today!

I was there too and it was awesome! We did everything we wanted to and Blue Dragon opened and we were able to get a reservation for dinner. The food was great as well as the service.

Even though it was very low crowds there yesterday, the ride ops were great! They were efficient and had a good rhythm, especially Stardust Racers.

Does the single rider skip most of the sensory-type things in the queue? (like flashing lights, etc.)? I'm legit concerned about my ability to do even the express line from what I've seen/heard.

Yes it does skip them, however, there are still flashing lights at the loading roundtable station, but you will already be grouped with another party so you should really never stop moving once you’re in there and be on the RV within a few minutes.

Presumably written by the guy who signed off on the Cars ride at Magic Kingdom.

I have a perfect idea. Bring back Jaws and put it in the fountain area. Would officially be the greatest theme park ever! :p

Interesting:.....Touring Plans is coming out with their Epic crowd level daily projections (based on ride stand by line times) . They're predicting that Epic will open their early days and limit the capacity to half the park's capacity at 17,000 (full capacity 34,000). They've estimated the preview crowds capacity at 13,000 maximum allotted. They're estimating 7 to 8 crowd levels (1 to 10 with 10 the highest) for most of the summer, which is similar to projections for USF and IOA....Note: It's difficult to predict a new park.

Might be less than that some/most days, depending on when folks with multi-day tickets utilize their single day at Epic.

Plus, it appears that tickets have been cut off early for June for APs and general public before technically selling out even at those caps. Which could possibly be an indicator of them being cautious in case of continued ride reliability issues. They may reappear for sale of course, but for the last week the whole month of June is not for sale on the AP calendar.

Regardless, the plan is to slowly ramp up capacity caps throughout the summer, which should hopefully lead to a more pleasant opening week than most are expecting.

I think part of that is the inefficiency of rides paired with the worry of Florida's weather shutting down a good majority of the park. Once running well, the park can accommodate 17K easily, and likely a 17K attendance day at the park is in reality a lower crowd level number.

I don't see how this park can run anywhere near full capacity unless the 3 M's, Monsters, Ministry and Mario are running very reliably and at Full Capacity.

My humble opinion fwiw: If those Touring Plan opening capacity limits (17,000) are accurate, it's a good thing. That would indicate that Universal is putting the long-term image of the park ahead of being too greedy by opening up capacity to apx. 34,000 at the beginning month or two. Universal will probably monitor the park's attraction situation/progress and increase capacity as the attractions prove reliability.

Also the fact that there will not really be any park to park tickets for this will mean that crowds will die down throughout the day more than we are used to seeing, since there will not be any park to park tickets coming in to replace those that roped dropped in the morning and leave earlier.
