Don't know how to link Facebook posts, but Midway Mayhem have just put up a video of the Volcano Bay buses testing around the tram road.
Bus boarding is soo slow! On a busy day it might be quicker just to walk from the parking lot to VB.
interesting seeing them enter the loop from the SF/RPR convention loop. I wonder if that's because the rest of the loop isn't finished yet.
I feel like we heard about this a little while ago, but interesting nonetheless. It makes sense as it's probably cheaper to contract it out.Fun Fact- Mears has taken over all Universal Resort bus routes.
So if all the buses from hotels will use that loop then what is the other loop next to the entrance for? Access to it doesn't seem at all convenient. That's where buses from hotels will enter
Gosh. What a terrible move by Universal. Mears sucks. Probably works out financially better but oh well shouldn't be to hard for Mears to travel hotel to hotel I guess.Fun Fact- Mears has taken over all Universal Resort bus routes.

Farming them out to Mears is much easier than trying to hire and keep full time bus drivers. The Orlando market is tough for hiring CDL holders. Disney is always paying a premium to get more bus drivers and Universal was having the same problem. Much easier to make it someone else's problem staffing the buses so they can concentrate on more important things. Mears runs all of the Disney Cruise Line and Magical Express buses so they have a huge pool of drivers available all the time.Gosh. What a terrible move by Universal. Mears sucks. I can understand that. Mears just has so many issues. Don't want that to carry over to the resort.Farming them out to Mears is much easier than trying to hire and keep full time bus drivers.
