That's the one good thing that (I'm pretty sure) is happening with this scenario. It means LC is safe for at least 5 or so years, and hopefully a lot more than that.

Idk. I'm pretty sure I'd offer to take the sledgehammer to the LC myself if it meant keeping something like Jaws. Jaws has a much higher property value than the LC, to me at least.

OMGosh guys, being a former UO Team Member, a train connecting the 2 parks will NOT happen. The buildings and roads in between the 2 areas are vital to the resorts operation. Having a train go down there would hinder any service vehicle or Team Member walking traffic significantly. There's also the problem having separate turnstiles at each park. It's a cool idea yes, but it's not going to happen.

DOn't forget, Potter IS based on movies-books as well, but the look/feel of the place is based on the movie sets.

So what is going there then? You seem to know more than we do...It's either Potter or Transformers those are the only two rumors we have to work with.
I remember people saying it was ridiculous when the rumor came out about Harry Potter taking up half of the Lost Continent...or when people said it was ridiculous and couldn't happen when Universal was going to add another park...I love it when people say not to be rude and then say something rude..

I know what I said could have been offensive, but its not that bad, you guys have like titty attacks. LMAO, However, if they do make a HP section in Uni, that shows how uncreative and money hungry they are. I knew sense day one, of Phase 1, that a phase 2 was coming. The whole LC section (or at least most) will be coming down, thats a no brainier. Having HP in both parks is just TOO MUCH POTTER, unless they do like a behind the scenes thing but I dont thing JKR will like that.

The train idea, which I thought was dumb back when we thought all this "Potter in 2 Parks" was put to rest a few weeks back, still is the least feasible thing I've read in a long time. Just look at the map and location of the two areas:

The only, and still ridiculous sounding plan, way a train/simulator/people mover ride to work is start where the Sinbad theater is (needing to be demolished) and run down the service road the map refers to as "5th Ave".

Look, as a HP fan, the idea of a train connecting a Diagon Alley section to the Hogsmeade entrance which in itself could be an attraction, gives me the same type of reaction that first piece of concept art for the WWoHP did. However, as a logical thinker of what even makes sense to construct in terms of space limits, rider capacity, diverting employee traffic, and eliminating a vital service road, this notion needs to be put to rest.


Sadly, it ISN'T going to happen. :bonk:

Not only is it an insult but it also just shows that you don't actually read the site. There have been plenty people, including myself, that have said that the train was an implausible and bad idea. But that doesn't mean that the other members' opinion is invalid. In fact, though I disagree with them, I would actively align myself with them over someone who agrees with me, but disrespects them in the process. It might seem like a silly board or inconsequential to you, but within any community there is an established system of respect. These people have put time in here, far more time than you.

While I agree taking out service roads etc would prohibit team member walking and transportation, any good logistical coordinator knows there is more than one direction to build besides laterally...just saying. ;0)

Am I the only one that thinks Potter in Universal is a good idea? The street theming in USF is great for a london based street. They would just need to change that whole upper corner to London. You enter through Leaky and can go all throughout diagon alley to kings cross. But we can only wish for a park hopper train.
