I dunno. Putting Potter into two separate parks would be an easy way for Universal to get more money from HP fans. And if there was a Hogwarts Express connecting the two, you wouldn't have to worry about it being a capacity nightmare; it would be exclusive to only those with a 2-park ticket. Hell, they could even include a platform 9 3/4 ticket with your purchase.

Is it possible for them to make a Hogwarts Express train connecting the two?

Of course. My questions is: Is it possible for them to make it a genuinely good experience?

Well, I mean, at the end of the day a train ride is a train ride. For HP fans, being able to ride "THE" Hogwarts Express will be exciting as is, but for the average person who doesn't give a rat's butt about HP or trains....

They could have the snack trolley, but other than that, I can't think of anything they could do to make a train ride more exciting. In the books nothing ever really happens, except in the third one, when Dementors board it.

HP in both parks is just a stupid and greedy move for Uni.

It's not stupid. Greedy? Maybe. But it's certainly not stupid.

One word: Screens. There won't be windows on the train. Just simulated ones. (IMO)

They have incredibly "boring" transportation rides in Disney that fans seemingly love. I don't think it'll be a problem.

Never really cared for this idea much. If lines at Potter are long for Honeydukes and D&B's, how ridiculously long would they be for a slow moving train? Sorry to see JAWS go. Wish they would kill off most of the LC and push into the backstage area and then if JAWS had to go (because of operation costs and such) we'd get a completely new ride or section.

So what is going there then? You seem to know more than we do...It's either Potter or Transformers those are the only two rumors we have to work with.
I remember people saying it was ridiculous when the rumor came out about Harry Potter taking up half of the Lost Continent...or when people said it was ridiculous and couldn't happen when Universal was going to add another park...I love it when people say not to be rude and then say something rude..

Don't mean to be rude, but you're being both rude and severely lacking in information. This rumor has been going on for the better part of a year, was recently brought up again by a trusted member of this community with new rumors that it was a done deal and that construction would start in Feb. Now we have confirmation that the ride is being removed at the beginning of January. Reports are coming in that says Coup said Transformers is not an option in the area, so we used our "lack of brains" to put 2 and 2 together.

No, no, that wasn't rude at all! I mean, you only called us brainless for considering a somewhat plausible rumor, thats come from sources from Uni.

Anyway, I'm starting to warm up to this idea. It does make sense, since they're probably doing Diagon Alley, to have it far away from Hogwarts. If it does turn out that this is true, it would still REALLY stupid of them to replace JAWS with this, though.

Am I the only one that thinks Potter in Universal is a good idea? The street theming in USF is great for a london based street. They would just need to change that whole upper corner to London. You enter through Leaky and can go all throughout diagon alley to kings cross. But we can only wish for a park hopper train.

Don't take everything so personally. It is a ridiculous idea in the same context that one might say, "She makes a ridiculous amount of money..." or "WW is ridiculous in its attention to details"

I don't think it's a "bad" idea. I don't like the idea of the train and I think that they are wasting the chunk of land behind Sinbad, but I think Diagon Alley in USF fits reasonably enough.

EVERYONE!

Shhhhhhhh.

Stop talking. You don't have brains.

If you have to start a sentence with "I don't mean to be rude...." Just stop the sentence there. Chances are, you'll end up being rude.

But anyway, I'm totally up for more Potter, and heck yes I will ride the Hogwarts Express. But if there's a train, I want some Pumpkins Pasties. Although Pumpkin Pasties sound awful.

If there's a train, I doubt there will be a sweets trolley. There would be such a long line to get anything that the ride would be over and you'd be forced to leave long before you got anything.

Then maybe they should just stick a Pumpkin Pasty on everyone's seat. Y'know, like how hotels put mints on pillows.

And every time without fail, someone would accidentally sit on their pasty and it would be absolutely hilarious.

Win-win.

Would it not be more cool if it disappeared withing one foot of going to pick it up? Fun talk, as these are the kinds of off the wall things they throw out in meetings. Impractical ideas are the best when someone at the table says, "you know, we could do that if we used...!"

If the two parks remain to be two parks then the average person who doesn't give a rat's butt about HP or trains probably wouldn't be riding it. Because someone with a base ticket wouldn't be aloud on board.

And therefore, it probably wouldn't be a capacity nightmare.

Honestly I don't care much for the idea. But I felt like I should share my thoughts on how it could maybe happen.

The greatest capacity of people that Universal Orlando Resort caters to now are Potter fans. Very few young people under 21 "give a rats ass" about Potter... very few. They are there because of Potter, not in spite of it.

Yes, exactly my thought. With the way people are still lining up just to get into a small shop, it'd be foolish to think the Hogwarts Express wouldn't be insanely crowded.
