Maybe Mythos can be re-themed to the cavern that Voldemort had the locket in the basin hidden in....it already has the same type of architecture.

You are actually facing a very big con, that over rights all pros and cons. What exactly, do you have in mind this Mythos is going to change to, that will 1. Be Suitable to Mrs. Rowling, because you know that she is very strict on believability and she does not want gaudy places representing her world, and 2. Will still uphold the same quality and experience the restaurant has been providing for Orlando? It just does not fit any where in the Wizarding World.

i understand that jk would be very hard to please, but the thing about it is, if you please her then it will probably be as good as mythos. i dont have an idea of something they could do but im pretty sure there is one out there.

That's actually a really good idea, the only large change would be the floor-plan. They could but the basin in the center of the restaurant with some water in it... in theory that could work out really well. Good idea:thumbs:

This Mythos debate is nonsensical. You cannot change a restaurant's theme without completely changing the restaurant. You're litterally trying to say that they will serve different food, but it will still be the same, which is rediculous.

Think about this. The transition from Merlin Woods to Potter was very easy because they just didn't have to do much. There wasn't much in that part of LC to begin with. All they had to do was retheme the facades and add FJ. They kept the restaurant kitchen and the restroom facilities. If they were to expand into the rest of the LC, that would be a much bigger project. Poseidon's Fury's facade is huge and would be expensive to change as well as Sindbad. If they were to make a realistic layout, then the current facilities could very well not work in their current spots, so they'd have to tear out all that equiptment and pipes and build it again. Otherwise the layout would be awkward for what you guys are proposing they should add. Not to mention Mystic Fountain which I'm sure either has an underground resevior or is connected to the lagoon (it's probably self contained though). It would just be impractical.

They would still have to re-do most of the interior and exterior facades. Mythical gods =/= Potter.

Yes, thank you mantaguy. He basically just proved what I was trying to say. I knew I recogonginzed the three broomsticks food, the moment I saw the corn husks. It's just like the pervious resturant, and from my memory Merlin Woods did look very Harry Potter-ish. It was not a whole lot of work, where as going from Arabian and Mythical Gods would be a much bigger thing. There isn't even a good enough plan that would work with the current lay out. I'm trying to tell you guys, that what they have now is what we're going to get.

Everyone who is saying there is nothing else that would make sense to add to WWoHP, I see your point and to be honest there isn't much I can think of either that would work...But let's not forget that they have a team of amazing theme park designers, the people who worked on the films, and J.K. Rowling herself to turn to if they need ideas. All these brilliant people working together with thecreator of the series. Just because we can't think of much doesn't mean they won't be able to.

So I wouldn't be too quick to say nothing would work, nothing would make sense. There are much smarter and more creative people than us that would be working on this, and we see what they've done already.

i wasnt talking about just re painting the scenary, but tearing down much of it and just re making it. they definetly have enough money to destroy the mythos building and make another.

So then it would not be the same.

This is probably true, but the designers of the WW themselves said that they love the way it is now, and that anything more would ruin the synergy. They think that the perfect balance is what is there now. When you enter the WW now you feel like you've entered Hogsmeade. But to have more, Diagon Alley, etc. it would just feel like a well-themed Potter convention or display, not as if you were stepping into another world.

This is part of the reason I think they will only expand to the Arabian section, if they do expand. The whole LC would be too much. With all the complaints from visitors about the Wizarding World being too small, I wouldn't doubt this scenario happening. The Arabian section is just enough for Diagon/Nocturn Alley and maybe a Ministry attraction replacing Sinbad. Just for kicks, here's a map.

But the remaining Greek LC area is just way too small. It's really all or nothing.

what i would like, if they just had harry go into the arabian section, is to make a pretty big harry attraction, with some surrounding shops, then in the left over greek area, re make posidean into a big attraction area themed around greek mythology. that would be fairly cost efficient and would spread out the crowds quite a bit.

What if since we're assuming they would do Diagon Alley they were to turn Mythos into a fancy restaurant that could be say the Dursley's favorite? It would make sense that it would be in London and they could serve fancier British fare. I'm sure in at least one of the seven books such a place is mentioned and would be okayed by JK. It would be cool to have a theme of a muggle restaurant that is secretly filled with and run by wizards.

No, no it wasn't. Besides, there's very little chance Jo would approve that.

Even though some menu items are similar, the whole kitchen and cooking was brand new. They even spoke of in earlier interviews about how they have to bring in new smokers to cook the ribs in a manner that was more British. The only facilities they kept were the bathrooms, everything else was brand spanking new.

Not entirely true, the Enchanted Oak kitchen was not completely demolished. And, to the fans' dismay, neither was almost all of the original DD castle interior.

You can see all the holes where the skulls use to be in the queue. And yes, I do remember most of the items on the menu are exactly the same as the Enchanted Oak, with the exception of the 2 or 3 british items to fit the theming. Three Broomsticks is not as new as it looks.

Maybe they kept the kitchen area there, but there have been a few interviews that they brought in all new equipment to handle the new menu.
