So has anybody noticed that there's a mounting bracket for a set of bus bars along the entire Gringotts track so far?

I think this pretty much proves that the RVs will be pretty sophisticated... as in more than just a simple audio system. I know it's been said, but I'll say it again: Spidey+Mummy=Gringotts

This is the best way I can describe the Gringotts ride system.

The Gringotts ride system will make the FJ look like an Omnimover! It's that technologically advanced!

I will believe it when I see it. There have been a ton of rumors, facts etc. as to why FJ is so cut back, less impressive than it should be. Keep in mind that this will most likely happen to many aspects of phase II. Money will run out and plans will be slashed.

Kind of new around here so forgive me for going back a bit and bringing up the discussion of folks being able to ride who just have one park tickets. Now, I have no inside information and really I know very little about Harry Potter, but for some reason I wanted to mention how I would handle this.

From reading here, I am under the impression that the whole train is an illusion. Couldn't the train have different destinations? Say a line for single park ticket holders that did not travel to the other park? I would think they could have two train cars that where at the end of each track that never actually left the station, they would be stationary cars where the whole experience was simulated let you never really went anywhere so when you departed, you would still be in the same park.

Just a thought on how I think it could be done.

Interesting idea! And I don't think this one has come up before... Who knows? Could be!

That's be awesome! I, and I'm sure everyone, has high hopes for this ride, and I don't think we'll be disappointed.

They obviously have their budget, but I'm sure that it'd be much easier for Potter than any other project to increase the budget if need be ;) They know they'll get their return, and then some haha!

Uni will make their money back millions of times over  It isn't like they are going to build some shacks, slap some painted boards on them, call it London and say"okay...we are done" Remember this isn't TDO and they aren't building an elaborate section just to put restrooms in. Like HTF has written somewhere on this "expect great things" and I fully do. To be honesty WWoHP rekindled my like for HP as a whole. I read DH after it came out but then my interest in HP dropped off until I set foot in Hogsmeade for the first time way back during soft openings in June 2008. It was then that I "got" the Harry Potter franchise again..if you get my drift. Being able to go from London to Hogsmeade via the Hogwarts Express will be the.coolest thing besides TF:the ride 3-D. I don't care who is building the Gringotts ride. It could be little Joe with his erector set for all I care. The fact that UC is having the tracks installed now and we're still two years out is impressive. Hopefully it'll be up and running by November 2013. This will give them a year to test it while the rest of DA is being built.

Teebin. I think there will be a lot less budget cutting in Phase 2 that in the original.

Just sayin'

The first phase was a gamble, this ones an investment.

I think it's a little late to change anything as far as ride design goes. The vehicles are probably being fabricated as we speak. As far as show though, those kind of changes can happen later, based on what I've seen.

The powers at be though know what kind of quality this sort of attraction and work can bring in. It is proven to work. To be honest, even if we get something as cutback as Forbidden Journey and close to as aweosme, I will be happy. It is not that often theme parks approve such things, especially these days.

Also, I can't wait to see the Knight Bus parked in Diagon Alley.

I wonder if they'll ever go back and plus FJ with stuff that was cut. For instance, would it be possible to get the Whomping Willow up and running after hours or during a short refurb?

The original plan wasn't built/implemented. Willow scene was supposed to be more substantial per Teebin.

Minor things can always be plussed and in the case of Phase one already have improved with what was supposed to be but not ready for opening, or added in time as bonus after thoughts of plussing.

A few examples would be

Floo Network scene having a smoke fireplace like scent added to it
Faux smoke from some of the chiminey's in Hogsmeade.
Alternate exit in rotation for Olivander's for busier days
Floo Network film changes/enhancements for the floo network projections in Forbidden Journey.

I am sure much more minor things can happen over time but major things would involve taking the ride apart. Forbidden Journey cut back from some of the orignial ideas(all attractions are) or not works as one of the most rewarding dark ride experiences out there in the industry and amazes the masses.

Agree. It appears Universal is seeing the benefit of going all out on an attraction, as opposed to doing just enough to put something new out. The last time they put forth this much effort into something new, prior to The Wizarding World, was the original construction of Islands of Adventure. It's an exciting time to be a Universal fan.

well when you compare WWoHP with cars land we see who went the extra mile....the advantage of Universal having their backs to the financial wall at the time and having to make their shot count. Cars land nearly impresses at night rather than during the day...WWoHP is just impressive...when you consider one was catch up and Universal were first up with key concepts...I think in relative terms Universal really went out on a limb at the time. Financially they were not in good shape and had to keep to a budget however they showed a lot of commercial courage...then again at the time they had to. I think they will repeat that...they recognize their point of difference and why people will drop serious money to visit from afar.

I remember when they were testing out snow effects to have on all year round to make it seem like it was snowing In Hogsmeade. I think they were worries about the fake snow staining peoples clothes though.

I don't recall them testing fake snow in Hogsmeade. Does anyone have pictures of such a thing? The floor surface of the Dark Arts classroom went through vigorous testing in order to handle the repeated snow.

I believe the snow/floor test was to see how it would work both in the Dark Arts Classroom and Hogsmeade, but the Hogsmeade idea was dropped because the slightest amount of rain made the surface too slick to have guests walking on.
