I believe that you are correct. Might even use some sort of projection technology. I also believe that everyone will have to go through the "portal" to enter the station. Except maybe ADA.

I don't think there will be a need for projections. But there may be some sort of Musion effect near by. Yes, everyone will have to go through the "portal". Unclear about ADA.

I can see a huge issue with not allowing strollers (except as wheelchairs); it greatly diminishes the willingness of a family with kids wanting to then spend time in IOA, specifically one park ticket holders would be far less likely to upgrade to a 2-park ticket under that scenario. People are paranoid as it is and take off stroller wheels for a 3 minute ride plus wait time to try and keep their stroller from getting stolen, so they certainly won't want to leave their stroller in one park while they're over doing stuff in another park. Seems like something that could come back to bite them in terms of wanting the experience to push 2 park ticket upgrades in a key demographic. Of course, there are also days where I'm sure they won't mind the disincentive that will be (like peak seasons).

That's a very good point. Stroller families would always do round trips if anything at all. And you can't take the time to have them load and unload a specific section of a train car either. That would take too much time.

I'm having a hard time actually picturing this description. The only thing I could picture when you say diagonal hallway is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rpPM-Hh6DI

The reason they don't want you taking pictures on the ride probably has very little to do with keeping the construction a secret. Think about it...if one more person gets injured from a flying cell phone, camera, or other object, they might have to shut the ride down. As much as I love seeing construction pictures it would be sad if somebody was blinded in one eye because some idiot dropped a cell phone on the ride and it hit them. They don't want ANY loose objects to be taken on the ride.

So far, all major construction near Dragon Challenge is occurring at night to prevent ride downtime. However, when the station building goes vertical, there may be a chance of one or both track closing for brief periods of time.

If needed Fire will go down and Ice will remain open to support need. That is unless they get painted :look:

They were down for for a few days in December due to "Unrelated (to Dragon Challenge) back stage work" according to the TMs who were manning the entrance on one of my December visits.

I can never remember the new names to the coasters and I really don't care about those names. They will always be fire and ice to me!

Same! I actually say Dragon Challenge now, but I just can't bring myself to say "Let's ride the Chinese Fireball!".

Every time I ride it now, someone still calls it Ice. To me, it's Fire and Ice until they do more than put some props in the queue.

This is true, also there were days with delayed openings as well. I would assume we should expect this again once slow season returns.

How would this work?
I am imagining the movie the Labyrinth where the little worm tells Sarah to keep looking at the wall and you eventually notice the wall is actually an entrance...anyone know what I am talking about? Ha

I would think the brick pattern will be designed in such a way that it looks like one complete solid wall until you get just to the correct spot that allows you "pass through" but is just an opening in the wall you couldn't see from the other angles.

I was watching some of the extras on the Harry Potter DVD today, briefly it showed JK discussing park options with UC, well at least I think it was UC. Any way it only touched upon it on the DVD is there any where I can see more of this footage? I would love the insight of how phase one grew from Idea through concept to completed land and now into phase 2. Any one else seen this?
