I could see an AA or "animatics" or whatever universal call them.... But breathing fire?

I thought all future fire was a no go... You know... Green is universal and all that?

I was under the impression that's why the fire effects in transformers are smoke and lights and not real fire (something I was mortally disappointed by).

Is it a case of green is universal unless JK Rowling demands differently?

If Universal is wise, Gringotts height requirement will be 42-44". Anything higher will be just another dumb move to push away families with younger kids.

My Potter knowledge is pretty much nonexistent, so pardon my ignorance; but is true that some of the popular shops Universal built into Hogsmeade at IOA are actually supposed to be in Diagon Alley? If so, how is that going to affect some this new area, if at all?

Well me too, everything I know about Potter I learned from this forum

From what I understand the wand shop Olevander's is suppose to be in DA, they spin the one in HM as like a "franchise". Then there are two other shops, which are just the storefronts and not a real place there. The shops would be easy enough to just change the signs out front, possibly a little themeing. Due to the unanticipated popularity of Olivander's it may be wise to keep them at both locations for a while, then swap out the one in HM for something else down the line.

Im surprised no one has thaught of this already. What if the fire effect is like the one from the FJ dragon, just a light & fog blasting out? Of course, Im sure we would ALL prefer real fire though!

I'm pretty sure real fire has been confirmed for Mr. Dragon. In sunny Florida a simple lighting + fog effect wouldn't work outdoors daytime. Night time, yes.

Yeeesh, thanks for the info. I was so hoping for irony or foreshadowing. St. George and the Dragon would have been brilliant, short of the possible new rumor of a stupid, friggin dragon AA on top of Gringotts.

Regardless... a God of Love seems so blah blah blah.

I have a feeling that someone somewhere is saying "Wow, I can't believe this! I never thought Universal would open a second Harry Potter land! It must have been a total surprise to everyone!"

This concept are makes me even more excited about this than before, though I wonder what they'll do with the dragon AA on Gringotts. Maybe it would be there to protect the bank from dark wizards.

Wow this forum blew up today.

It is not just to get them talking about Uni, it is to get them to stop talking about Disney. You know it's like let's see what card Disney throws, cause Uni got the Ace of Spades.

Right, but Uni can always divulge more details about this or their next project. It's not like Disney, who has a huge announcement every other D23 Expo.

A dragon blasting out real fire every few minutes from a high up rooftop? That sounds hard to control. Wouldn't it catch a couple unlucky birds?

I received an email today from the original sand hill crane today. He knew my curiosity re: the solid concrete, and wondered the exact same thing.

I hope this not what they have planned for for focal point that is Gringott's Bank. In the books, everyone but Hagrid is terrified by Dragons. It doesn't fit the locale.

Again, any and all dragon canon from the books is moot in WWoHP considering we ride in a damned dragon's mouth and hands like nothing is wrong during dragon challenge.

Yes, but I thought there would be some coaster parts, considering the track shown. Enough to make a higher height restriction. Especially since Uni always seems to have higher height restrictions than Disney. We will see when more details comes out.

The coaster parts will not be all that intense.

When I saw the announcement I thought someone hacked into their Twitter account, like AP or the Onion.

Love the concept art. Can't wait for more details!

JS my comment when it comes the JPRA AAs was more that Uni has a past in dealing with large scale outdoor AAs...so the people thinking it will be faded, or messed up blah blah..can relax cause they know what they are doing.

Well...I still don't know if they're the best examples for that either.

The way to look at it is JKR and WB have obviously stayed on them. They'll stay on them this time too.
