They are making a suite in DA. For either JKR or a very special guest.

Are you saying this because you have insider knowledge of such a thing? If so, which building will it be located in? I would assume Leaky as it has rooms for rent.

Seems possible, but I won't hold my breath. That would sweeten the pot for JKR considerably in favor of UC, so it's not far-fetched. Just don't see Universal biting off of Disney, let alone the logistics involved in serving a room (or rooms) for such few guests over night, in the middle of a theme park, no where near a main entrance.

If it were just a suite, it would only be for special guests, so I doubt it would be that big of a deal. I mean look at the Cinderella Suite. The special guest could also travel backstage.

I've always wondered how they would handle park entrance, exit, and so forth in an in park suite. The whole thing just seems so impractical. I've always had this dream scenario where you have suites that back up to one side of Port of Entry, but that way you can come in from the back side and never enter the park from the suite. You'd still have to go around to the entrance to come in. But something in Diagon Alley, I just don't see how they could do it, unless there is an entrance from the back side of the Fear Factor stadium with some kind of conveyance to get guests to the main gate.

Considering the frequency of guests that stay in the JP suite...I would say it is not even a factor on their radar..I'm sure JKR is an AP holder anyway

If you mean the JP themed suites in the hotel, that's a whole other thing. That would be completely different from an in-park exclusive Harry Potter suite.

If I remember correctly (could be theme park rumor, which makes me the shlub for reporting it if it is indeed speculation) there is a suite inside of JP Discover Center I would presume that a guest could spend a good chunk of change to stay the night in..If we are talking about a suite for special guests in DA I made the assumption that that would be reserved for a special person that probably is already very well off and therefore the thought of caring how they get into the park is trivial..

I am quite sure that no suite exists within JPDC. The only thing close to a suite in IOA are the private meeting rooms above Confisco's in POE.

I've definitely never heard of that. I can't think of any space within the Discovery Center that would be used for a suite.

Sadly, we are going to need a far smaller chopper to get shots of the interior spaces... Bob, are you on it?

The idea of deploying a remote controlled camera drone from the employee parking lot is hilarious, please make this happen.

No, the IOA Jurassic Park experience that was on IOA Central was an overnight camping excursion inside Jurassic Park. It was basically you being picked up from the airport in a Hummer Limo, and taken directly to the back gates of Jurassic Park, where you would camp in Camp Jurassic overnight with access to the River Adventure and Pteranadon Flyers all night long. With a price tag either right at, or over one million dollars. It all sounded a little crazy to me, and I never totally bought into it actually existing, but that was the only stay in Jurassic Park thing I remember.

Another "high angle" video posted. Several pieces of presculpted brick and stonework in the staging area. At first I thought they were prefabbed to be affixed, but now I'm pretty sure they are reference pieces for the sculpters. (There looks to be one of each pattern.)

That is exactly what they are. Fascinating and fun. I wonder what building the funky fieldstone/cobblestone style will be used upon.

I haven't seen this discussed on this site yet, but Screamscape posted it a few days ago. I just noticed it.

Patent for transparent flame barrier: https://www.google.com/patents/US8523692

Very exciting. Could make for an AMAZING dragon encounter in Gringotts! I'm glad to see hints that the "no more real fire" rumor may have been false.
