Looks like a tech demo for the various track switches we could see in Gringotts, but is not the layout for the ride.

Yeah I was wondering if Gringotts was going to have corkscrews like that. I wish

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!
Okay, so the last time I have been on the thread was Feb, 2013. I have been MIA trying to live me life. ANY-WHO!!! Can someone catch me up on the Harry Potter Expansion. Last thing I remember is The Mayor of Florida accidentally announced that Universal Is planning to have a huge announcement come next year. You can Direct Message Me, if you want. Just to keep the thread from going - OT to much.

I love the ideas in that video. They look just like what has been hinted for sure!

Well a ride that is true to the film could theoretically use a corkscrew type maneuver or track layout. But the actual ride SHOULD be ridable for a much larger demographic that a corkscrewing ride would allow, so yes.

Agreed. And I am happy to sacrifice a bit of kinetic 'thrill' aspect so that we get more dark ride show scenes.

EDIT: Whoops, looks like you're all one step ahead of me on this one!

So is Gringotts getting a real fire effect then?

Only I was under the impression these were a no no under the "green is universal" policy... Hence why we got the inferior smoke and a light effect in transformers instead of real fire....

I'll be pleased if we get real fire but also pissed TF didn't... Green is universal unless JK says so!

I would 100% doubt it. They have been very consistent since Mummy in not using real fire/propane/LNG.

Isn't there a patent going around for a fire effect?

So there's a rather large crane in place next to the trains that wasn't there a few days ago, also saw some guys working on the doors of the trains and got a teensy little look inside but all I could see was another door. A sexy door it was, though! Hopefully these trains get put on the track soon.

Does anyone know if there's security by the trains 24/7 or just during the day?

Earlier today I had a request for a shot showing a particular phase of construction. Sorry, but this is the clearest shot I have.
