I'm completely exhausted, so not sure if I'll be hitting up HHN tonight after LAHH. If i do, I'll probably just stay on the Upper Lot and do Monstruos multiple times & hang out in Luchador/Skull territory.

I'd ride FJ, but that closes early like Tram, so it'd only be Hippo/Simpsons.

We'll see how i feel come 11pm lol. I like my little end of the night visits, waittimes are great.

The final night will be my full night visit since the first few weeks. Might splurge for early entry despite being against the upcharge.

Ohhh and wanted to talk about this

went to TCM first and they were telling people to walk side by side/double up for the house

I heard others talk about this but like WTF? It was not a busy night, I know we would love these houses to move quicker but side by side? I just don't think that plan will work out much without having TMs yell at you in every room

Off to Six Flags tonight where I will walk into houses and 8/10 times I'll be the only person in the house, lol

Yeah they were doing that for us for Texas, Dead Exposure, and even Monstruos even though all 3 were between 10 minute and 0 minute waits when we went through.
Very strange strategy, as most of the mazes arent built to be wide enough for 2 people to walk side by side comfortably without scareactors having next to no room to move, almost everyone was just defaulting back to a single file line once they were past the front entrance because like, duh, thats how these mazes were physically built to be experienced lol.

Very bizarre.

Kinda makes me wonder if they are testing it....

Disney has done some things in the past that once we see them change polcy makes so much more sense. (No more DAS for most people then 400 dollars LL passes....well duh they shut that down, along with people finding a way to get LL times closer to when they are booking with a "glitch" being gone)

So I could see them testing this for the Fan event walking attractions and maybe even HHN next year or beyond. I hope I'm wrong but theme parks seem to rarely do things now because there is always some plan behind why or how.

I do wonder, how many would do HHN if it became two by two people?

The ops situation sounds like it's gotten out of control. It's a real shame, because I know the show quality teams had made a concerted effort to work with them to find a sustainable balance the past few years. Sounds like those efforts have fallen apart or been abandoned.

When?

I love HHN but its issue since I've been going has always been Ops issues in someway with the lines, flow and what not. I can't remember the last year when there wasn't a Conga line

There have always been inevitable conga lines, even with efforts to try and curb them. I know those conversations started in earnest in 2019. The compromise for a few years was less-aggressive ops attendants, which I felt was the reality for a while.

Can someone suggest a strategy for house order (with early entry) please? I'm sure I read one earlier, but can't find it now ‍

With early entry, here's my recommendation:

1) Try to get there as early as possible for early entry and do Insidious first.

2) Do GB afterwards. That always has a short line.

3) Go straight down to Texas once you're done with both Insidious and GB

4) Hit up Weeknd right afterwards.

5) Somewhere between TCM and Weeknd is when the event should officially open to everyone so a good chunk of people will be headed towards the Curious George lot. After you do Weeknd, I would hit up Dead Exposure

6) Eternal Bloodlines

7) Terror Tram

From there on, you can knock out the last two houses. After that, you can see if you can catch a showing of the Purge, go see Chucky, do rides, or repeat runthroughs. It's up to you! If you can muster up enough strength to stay until the final two hours of the event, the lines are empty. You can go full steam ahead on repeat runthroughs or get a ride on Mummy if you wish.

This is the method I followed on my first night Sunday and it worked out. Even on peak nights this seems to be the move. But anyone else, please feel free to give better recommendations if you have any! This is what I personally recommend.

It depends on the night you're there. But might as well get Insidious & Ghostbusters out of the way. Zip down to the Lower Lot, hit those that are open. Then do Upper Lot + Terror Tram.

Squeeze in the Purge show after all houses.

After that, just do whatever houses have the shortest waittime until close. The last hour is possible to do the marathon run if committed (or crazy)

Amazing! Thanks. I got the 2pm entry (so in already), I assume it works the same as general early entry?

I'm not 100% on this but I don't see why it wouldn't. You're basically doing early entry but giving yourself a little extra time to do a few rides.

Okay last question... where should I go to wait for Insidious? Is there a cutoff time to get to the right area?

You're going go to want to head to Insidious right away when you can. I believe the early entry access is next to Waterworld.

Later on. You'll access those houses by going through Potter

Starting on the lower lot just feels right for me. I can't imagine doing it any other way. Might be a dumb move on my part, but starting up top just feels so dirty and wrong. Even with Express, I still start at the bottom haha

Okay so I ended up going again tonight after Hayride  I made it a lazy night & stayed on the Upper Lot. Purge, Skull Lordz, Monstruos, Luchador... then at 1:40am (the cut off time is 1:45am just for future reference), I went over to Insidious. It was a 10min wait, so I ended up just doing it twice & skipped Ghostbusters.

Vomit scent was kinda strong.

The SZ monsters were going after me tonight. I got a triple attack by the Not-Universal Monsters trio + the bat stilt!

Honestly, for not really doing anything, it was a FUN 2hrs.

Can I get lazier than my Thursday night visit? YEP!!

I got there just in time for the last Purge show at 12:30am. Then did Monstruos twice. Hung out a bit in Skull Lordz & Luchadores. It's entertaining when the scareactors recognize/remember you.

Hurried over to the potter passage of no return at 1:40am (as I mentioned, cut off time is 1:45am) so I could do Ghostbusters & end with Insidious.

Lazy night was lazy.

I'm sure tonight will be busier

Last night was normal at the start but a few walk on houses were there from 7-9. Weekend and Monsterrous seem to be the best bets for lower waits later.

When I was leaving at 9:30ish most houses had around 15-30 mins lines at most houses....some might have been more but that looks to be the average and the one weird line was HP ride having a 35 min line...pretty impressive with how many people can get on the ride

Usually November days are absolutely dead, but I'm thinking this year might actually be more busy than other November dates. Kept hearing people asking others if they were going to celebrate Halloween "last weekend or this weekend." I don't know, maybe it's a social media thing of people trying to make Halloween more popular and more weekends than normal lol but usually once Oct 31st hit, people could not care at all. I guess we'll see.

Still undecided if I'll do one more trip this year. I've gone at minimum twice every year for so long now, to only go once is mind boggling to me. 2016 me wouldn't believe you that the event would be so underwhelming that once would suffice.

I’m going closing night. Being how light this year has been, I will be shocked if closing night gets packed.

Does anyone know if you are able to use a Universal refillable cup at horror nights if purchased at the park previously?
