No room unfortunately. Maybe they could add one in Orlando but here they're locked in by Harry Potter.

Whatever happened to the other Power-Up Band games that were supposed to be here? I remember the model had an extra one near Rambi and the datamined app had a third. Gotta wonder if there were budget cuts.

Didn’t know about that, IK Yoshi and Mario Kart are next door; but the mine cart ride seems a bit intense for a young kid. Maybe a kiddie drop tower themed as barrels?

I think Super Nintendo World is done for a while. USJ is apparently getting Villain-Con in 2025, Pokemon in 2026, and (this is speculation on my part) something is gonna replace Jaws eventually. Maybe we'll see something new in the 2030's?

Since it was a topic of discussion yesterday, here is the full walk-thru of the queue.

I'm interested to see what reception will be like for this in EU vs USJ.

I'm guessing that with an entire new park with new attractions, there will be considerably less emphasis/interest/criticisms placed on any one individual ride....in this case DK.

Again without riding it, it seems like a fantastic complementary piece to the main SNW area. Shouldn’t have been a phase 2 expansion. It’ll fit very well in EU. In a park with 3 family coasters, I’m ultimately curious how this will compare to Curse of the Werewolf and Hiccups at the end of the day.

I think both of those games were unfortunately cut, it's not looking like they are going to be in Epic either, based on current construction.

I'm not certain of the validity of this, but allegedly, the initial plan was for Donkey Kong to open with the rest of Super Nintendo World in Japan. Back in 2019, the word was that Donkey Kong was being delayed so that so that the rest of the land would be open in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which... didn't quite work out...

Even as an expansion, I think Donkey Kong Country could've been built and opened a over a year ago if they really wanted to, but it seems that they understandably wanted to hold off on starting construction for a while following the economic uncertainty of Covid.

Too late now obviously but it would've been great for the indoor section if they put an automatic door or something at the end around the corner that goes up and down (or opens and shuts). As soon as your cart comes around the corner and into the tunnel it's already shut. Then when the cart slows down when it's about to turn to go out, it opens. then immediately shuts again after you leave.

Just saw a video from night. Obviously that room is much better, but majority of rides will be during the day, so a shame that was not accounted for. Even if they just extended the indoor section up the lift hill a bit to create a longer tunnel…

I think the criticisms (valid and invalid) will be offset by the existence of two larger E-tickets that will largely meet the standards by which most Western visitors judge attractions.

At Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disneyland they added a tunnel (that Splash Mountain didn't have) in order to block light so when you enter the indoor scenes the light level is lower. So...this aspect of managing light level when going indoors mid-ride is an "industry wide" challenge so to speak...maybe something not being modeled well in 3D pre-visualization?

Perhaps opaque canopies could be added at entrances and exits of tunnels to reduce the light levels right outside the tunnels...that would help create darker interior scenes. And it could be done "on theme" as canopies exist elsewhere around the attraction.

There's a reason why those swinging doors at the big Dudley Do-Right drop got permanently propped open very early on...

Yep. Why an extended hallway / tunnel partially up the lift hill may have been a smart choice.

I've heard Zelda rumored for Jaws. But the rumor also used to be Diagon Alley.
