Yep. Why an extended hallway / tunnel partially up the lift hill may have been a smart choice.

We have a waterfall in Orlando, so maybe we do have it here?

Someone pointed out on the WDWMagic forums that Orlando's version also appears to have a toppling totem effect that's just a stationary "near-miss" object in Japan, so there are definitely at least a couple observable differences.

Checked Bioreconstruct on Bluesky, and looks to be the same for Orlando version.

We should probably take this to the EU thread, but this is just me speculating based on the fact the lift in Japan is under their monkey head icon.

I'm not sure why there's still complaints about the indoor scene being too bright now that we've seen a POV video giving a more accurate idea of what it actually looks like lol

And anyone who’s walked in to a tent house at HHN in the daylight should know that youre not gonna be able to see much of anything on the walls/ceiling

Lighting looks good, for the most part.

Unfortunate that you get an unmissable look at how the ride vehicle actually operates, spoiling the illusion some, right out of the gate.

They could have covered up the track that houses the jump arm more, but maybe that wasn't possible from an engineering perspective?

It’s not too much of a shame in the beginning (I feel like most won’t notice) but the final large drop is bizarre. The ride just looks like a normal coaster at that stage.

I’m still confused as to what the lift hills are supposed to be, btw, but at least the track is hidden.

Like 7 Dwarfs and Suess Trolley (though not a coaster) it appears to be a far superior night attraction than it is during daylight.

All of Epic Universe is going to be outstanding at nighttime, they must keep that park open late. Must.

Yeah, like many themed coasters (Matterhorn, Incrediacoaster etc) I think the ride looks better at night

For me it looks like a solid fun ride but I see that most of the complaints from MK are still there.

I think for thrill fans Nintendo will just never give you what you want Nintendo here is clearly aiming at families and trying not to go too thrilling

The one thing I think they did mess up on is the launch, it should be a real launch where you get some speed not just a launch into a fake track switch

Outside that, its a great DK ride and know it wont but would not have minded this at USH...but hopefully we aren't getting it but will leave room for Pokemon and Zelda which I feel are must rides at all the resorts when they do get around to them

Probably the best POV yet. I still feel like some baffling decisions were made with the layout, specifically in terms of pacing and overall length. Now that we have a better look at that little finale scene, I'm not even really sure what's supposed to be happening. What is DK doing? Giving the ground a high-five?

I think he's doing his iconic Ground Pound, but it's still off that he's only doing it with one hand.

Yeah, that's my confusion. The way the scene was initially described, I was also expecting more "shaking" in response in terms of the reported projection mapping. I'm not seeing much beyond a lighting shift/spotlight turning on.
