I'm gonna come in and break up all that negative nonsense!

(yes the ride system is old, lets move on)

This ride was great at one point, let's give it the respect that it deserves. We're both big and round and and didn't graduate high school!

100 tacos for $100! What a deal!

When Uni re-opened after COVID, we got in line and happed to get to the top deck, and there was one glorious women doing all the TM roles. She did the whole level by herself!

To add another positive point when Pokemon finally comes online, the fact that the Simpsons ride structure is the tallest at USF makes me hope they can take advantage of the existing plot and combine it with the outgoing sprung tent area for something pretty large scale and immersive if its just going to be one major E ticket for the lands ride.

You’ll get Universal’s version of Webslingers and you’ll like it! /s

Interestingly Universal did file a patent a while back that was for motion/gesture tracking.

Unlike USJ, USF is getting a ground up bespoke Pokemon ride. After measuring the current Simpsons plot and the sprung tents that will taken out, it came around to the ballpark of 75k square feet. If you expand further behind those sprung tents and take out what appear to be some office buildings and storage containers (which can be relocated to EU backstage) you now have 110k+ square feet. If they maximize the space back there Universal can go bigger than something like Webslingers or an omnimover ride like SLOP.

I think something I’ll miss with the Simpsons when it goes (on both coasts) is that it’ll be the one and only land/ride we ever got with the original voice cast (minus Shearer, obviously). Assuming Disney ultimately wants to do something with the IP at their parks, by the time they do, it could potentially be a decade from now at the rate they move, and by then it wouldn’t surprise me to have seen people like Kavner and Shearer follow Pamela Hayden into retirement from the show, especially since they’ve both been sounding much different for years already and the former would potentially be in her 80s and the latter in his 90s by the time Disney decides to move dirt.

Obviously recasts have happened in the show’s run, but we’re inching towards the day where Disney will have to replace one of the core cast members entirely, either due to death or retirement, if the show is to keep on going, and if they plan on building a ride/land beyond that of their own, it’ll have to incorporate those replacements (or, I shudder to think, AI). So for that long-winded explanation, I’m happy to cherish Simpsons while we’ve got it, with the cast captured in their prime, before it’s gone, because no matter what Disney does, it’ll never have that specific magic to it.

This is how Kavner sounds like now.

Is Simpsons really taller than Transformers and 30 Rock? I never would have thought that looking at them.

(I'm going to devastated when we lose Bumblebee Man Tacos and Duff Gardens)

Maybe Pokémon could still have a bar like the Duff brewery. In terms of food Pokemon could have, it will probably have menu items similar to FFB, albeit with more Japanese items mixed in?

According to Google Earth. Simpsons is about 75 tall. Transformers is about 70ft tall. 30 Rock is about 65ft tall (vertical walls) or 85ft tall (including sloped roof)

Crazy how forced perspective works. I could have sworn Transformers was like 100 feet tall lol. Same for 30 Rock

It's a good question to ask. I don't doubt Simpsons is still popular, but are they popular enough to build a new attraction/land or would it be better to relegate it to a small (but well-done!) meet-n-greet?

Personally I think a proper dark ride with a character photo-op in front would be good.

FWIW, people on WDWMagic were claiming there is a small group of people within the company who have ideas for Simpsons at the parks. More recently in fact, WDWMagic user and insider Moth responded to a user who speculated Zootopia might take over Animation Courtyard by saying "Mmm, expansion plots" Sounds like Simpsons is In the running to take over AC.

Not sure how I feel about that, but I do agree with the above poster. A standalone dark ride and meet and greet is more than adequate for the IP at this phase in its existence.

I’d be down for Simpsons. And although I understand people’s concerns about the ip and its age, but realistically, NO WAY we get Simpsons ride at Disney parks without a land in some form. Disney likes to make things lands now, and I’m sure they want a peice of the food, beverage, and merch money pie the property brings.

He's also leaving in 2026 (for realsies this time!?). Would it be likely before he goes he'd be involved and make sure resources were allocated for it as one of his last decisions for the park?

An Avengers Campus or Zootopia sized land would be fine for Simpsons.

If a hypothetical Simpsons land came to DHS it would probably be included in the second half of the 10 year parks plan.

I don't trust Disney to make a better ride. When Universal had Marvel, we got Amazing Adventures. Disney gave us Web Slingers. When Universal got the rights to Harry Potter, we got Wizarding World. Disney was gonna give us a Toy-Story-Mania-esque attraction if they got the rights.

I'm not too big on The Simpsons Ride but it's likely better than anything Disney will come up with.

If Disney would go the dark ride route for Simpsons, it could be really fun. Let’s us board their couch for a ride around Springfield or something
