Universal and Disney are both capitalizing. Don't kid yourself.

Disney is a world onto itself. It's a resort, where you live and breath nothing but Disney. I've been twice in the past year and both times I was overwhelmed by the service at their resorts, parks, even their parking toll booths. The parks are generally spotless considering the amount of people occupying them. The Disney has more activities and attractions going in one day then Universal has in a whole week.

It is apples and oranges. As many high tech rides they add, and resorts they build, UOR still doesn't have come close to what Disney offers their guests in terms of resort immersiveness. Now like I said, that's changing, and they are trying, but they aren't there yet. And anyone that disagrees is more of a universal fanboy then most of the "pixie" snorters you all complain about.

ALSO I would argue both parks have overpriced/mediocre food, but I'm glad you enjoyed your dinner.

I disagree about 100%. WDW does have "The Disney Bubble" because of it's ginormous size. But that cuts both ways. The creaking WDW transportation system is anything but "magical". I much prefer UOR and DLR over WDW anytime, any day.

TDO is the definition of lazy and greedy.

And I would be happy to pontificate at length about why TDO is breathtakingly incompetent if you would like.

Universals Kong is Only competing with Universals Potter, and I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl to see it all.
This December I'm on a 2 month vacation in Orlando and only visit Universal with a annuleer pass because Disney isn't offerend anything I care for.
NeXT year I Will be back for Kong.

Nothing wrong with being a Uni or Disney fanboy. Whatever rocks your boat. Disney has better atmosphere, Magic Kingdom and A.K. but universal is adding new experiences.

That wasn't the point...I just hate when people call others a Universal fan boy because they don't agree with something that's being done at WDW...it's tired

:focus: Both resorts have positive and negative things about them and if you don't like the other, then don't pay $100 to go. Easy cheesy, Ron Weasley! Lots of foundation going up at Kong today.

Two shots from yesterday. It doesn't look like the rain is being kind.

I believe the real sign of progress is the increase in the number of porta-potties.

Universal's rides run circles around Disneys, don't kid yaself.

Universal is much more advanced in their new additions like Harry potter and Transformers. Disney is doing fine too. Universal is doing both, capitalizing and expanding. Look at Despicalbe me and Transformers. Then you have Cabana Bay, Safire and Kong.

Mercy, the arguments this thread creates due to a lack of information. Remember, there is a massive model of this attraction in one of the soundstages. I believe I told you this before and now I cannot recall which: 22,23,24? It is right next to another model of a very large volcano with surrounding bays and lagoons. One or both of them are built on a 1" to 1' scale. Do the simple math.

It's 23. I should have taken a pic of the sign. Says closed set and no entry without prior approval. Has a number to call as well. I tried one of the doors while in line for walking dead and it was locked.

Ah, ok, thanks. If I were a universal employee and wanted to get fired, I would call the number and say I was (a name) from Nassal and have come to review for revised bid.

So a bunch of steel is now on site and a very large crane has been erected and working. I believe foundation work is close to complete and we should start seeing vertical construction! Hope someone gets some pics!

Noticed it yesterday as well. One of the doors of the building also has a little keypad and a magnetic card reader.
