Welp.... Murdy had a Q&A tonight (err last night by the time you read this) on twitter... read through all of the questions/answers. Here are the tweets that apply to this year specifically....

Crimson Peak (this is rather disappointing)

Insidious

This Is The End (oh god... giant demon penis puppet)

Scare LA Announcement (Rumor: John Carpenter will be at ScareLA. If true, "Halloween" is our ScareLA maze)

Original Maze (scrapped)

Murdy also confirmed this would be year 10 as HHN creative director, but he also alluded to the possibility of extending his stay after this year...

Possible Jurassic World scarezone? ...ehhh not enough, USH. My god you are putting freaking JABBAWOCKEEZ, one of the strip's worst entertainment in the Castle Theater.

I'm buying an express pass for HHN Orlando, so that'll completely empty my vacation funds. Unless I get a huge bonus/raise, I'm definitely skipping it this year.

I think John Murdy is way too focused on what HE wants to do, and his snotty attitude on twitter reflects that a lot. Most of the fan favorites are either also at Orlando or from a past Orlando event. Insidious was one of the very few USH only mazes that was truly great.

Aiello actually likes Bill and Ted enough to fight for it.

Rumored now: Jurassic World scarezone in the lower lot and Jabberwockeez dance troupe (leaving the Luxor in Vegas very soon) in the Castle Theater.

Well, I'm excited about one of those of true...

yes, Murdy's first year was 2006, making this year his 10th year.

As far as B&T is concerned, Aiello hasn't been a part of it since 2010. 2011's show was helmed by Patrick Braillard. 2012-present is Jason Horne. 2012's show was downright awful, but Horne redeemed himself in 2013. When B&T was canceled here, we almost lost the show in Orlando as well until they saw it was different. Surprisingly, Orlando has gotten to poke fun at Disney the past 2 years (which is usually highly frowned upon... see 2006/2007). USH (or Comcast) have zero balls... so things get canceled, pulled, removed, etc..

In regards to Murdy.. here are two questions where he gives a BS excuse:

HUR1m49.jpg

- Orlando used JP in 2002
- Just because something isn't deemed horror, doesn't mean it can't be converted to horror

- too expensive.... yet, we had AWIL & AVP last year, and puppets wouldn't necessarily be needed

- Too hard to cast for Evil Dead/Army of Darkness? Orlando did it in 2009 for their "Medievel Darkness" scene in Silver Screams without using a mask (unofficial AOD 'pit scene' due to rights issue. Lights, Camera, Hacktion SZ that year was originally an "Army of Darkness" SZ, but had to be changed due to lack of rights.)

Since Murdy will claim "This is the End" will be the highest-rated maze of all time, I guess that means we can look forward to "The Pineapple Express: Terror Trip 3D". Another non-horror related property that is thinking outside the box! We want to have a show that everyone can enjoy, so well have a One Direction tribute band play at HHN! Its safe and not offensive by any means.

I can't wait for the really cool original concept of Freakz: Music by KISS! That's going to be great!

Uuuuuuuuuuugggggggghhhhhhhhh Somebody put a stop to this madman!

For those saying the former FDTD area is the tram area wouldn't it make sense to use the csi area.?

Use it how? I'm not sure what you're alluding to with that question. Are you saying to use it as the area for guests to board the trams to be taken to the metro sets?

The CSI area could very well be under construction by the time HHN rolls around. Plus it will be a little difficult to access that area anyway due to the fact that we have a maze on the SS28 plot, so the queue will need to be around the area between the tent & Transformers overflow queue. Its going to be interesting.

Funny thing; i'm pondering wether they save the Demo till after HHN or during. It will just be a matter of time but I'm wondering if they will use some of the soundstage for TWDs Line? You could have something play in there while people wait and it'd have AC.

Route 666 is not returning. And they're not using the CSI soundstages for a maze.

As for TWD queue area, I don't see them using any of the CSI SS for queue space, however its entirely possible. Orlando has done it in the past, in fact, in 2008 we used SS23 as queue space due to construction for Rockit. There was a screen set up in there & they'd play musicvideos/video clips to entertain people while waiting (nothing better than doing the Time Warp while waiting in line haha). I'm curious to see how they handle the queue for SS28, as well as which side of the tent will have the maze façade.

Where exactly was the tram pick-up/drop-off to the metro sets located in 2013? Did they just have separate lines in the normal Studio Tour loading? one for Terror Tram & one for metro sets?

When you were being taken to the Metro Sets, there was a transportation area; I believe somewhat close to Route 666 which would take you to the entrance of the Metro Set Scarezone. Then, for taking you back to the Lower Lot; it would pick you up where FDTD was.

There was a makeshift loading station along the Budwestmore building and dropped guests off in the Metro Sets Backstage area. Pick-up was in the staff parking lot (FDTD location).

The only two maze announcements have been Crimson Peak - Maze on Madness and Insidious: Return To The Further. The next announcement John mentoned would piss people off so i'm betting its TWD.

I'll say this, John wouldn't want to leave the Money Bank. And so does Orlando; as they're getting that again. Sure, there won't be a scarezone and the Terror Tram wont be themed to the IP but, you don't leave money when you can use it. And it makes sense to announce TWD next; to just get the last shared announcement out there before we get into the announcing blitz.

Also, as no shock; The Metro Sets scarezone won't be TWD this time. Confirmed by John a few hours ago on Twitter.

That's an invalid argument. An IP like that can be announced at any time and it would get the Social Media to notice it for an extent. And besides, It was more for Crimson to be noticed than that. Especially due to the lesser amount of TWD this year for Hollywood.
