Just got an e-mail from Universal looking for improv actors for the restaurant. Also, note the rehearsal time. Would seem we're in for an August opening or so if that sticks.

Penolope Toothsome:
Female 5’7” to 6’ in height. British dialect. Strong Improv skills required. Penelope has traveled the globe to gain knowledge of all things chocolate.

Jaques: Male 5’8”-6’1” in height. Actors will wear a costume that will cover entire body including head and face, with ability to speak. Strong improv skills required. Longtime robot companion to Penelope.

Candidates should have availability end of July for rehearsals with
full availability after grand opening.

I hope it opens by the 19th or August. I would love to surprise my daughter with a reservation for this place. I told her about it, but months ago I told her there was no chance it would be open for this trip.
I love the idea of a theme restaurant. Half the reason we love Mythos is the wonderful décor of the place.

Will definitely visit during my HHN visit this year. Not crazy about the name of emporium when it's a factory. Sounds cosmetic. At least they could have used Creatorium or something closer to factory.

Great to hear that potentially opens end of August as we are there from the 24th for two weeks. The wife and I have been to Orlando since August 2014 and were noted the amount of new things that have opened/opening since.

I also am not a fan of them name. But I am excited to have a good dessert place in Universal. I never care for the sweet offerings they have now. Either chain or just not yummy. HP area are the only good ones, but they are in the back of both parks and we tend to want a cool sweet treat at the end of a long hot day.

I wonder if they will do takeaway cakes/desserts etc, Like you said Izzy we often look for something sweet at the end of the day, being diabetic I can imagine I will have to share though!

I thought someone said there was going to be a store and I thought they were going to sell to go stuff there, but I could be wrong. They would be smart to do that so they don't get a bunch of people sitting down just for dessert which would bring their in restaurant table average down.

That is good news, when stopping on site previously we went into Uni Studios with sole intention of getting Caldron cake.

LOL - That and the ice cream in Diagon are my only treats I like at Universal :) I don't blame you. I have gone there looking for those and prior to Diagon opening the line was always too long in Hogsmeade and I always gave up. But I have had them a couple time and they are always yummy :)

Nothing better than a lazy day in the park, grabbing a Butterbeer ice cream and then people watching.

Yep, that's my kind of touring. We never rush. We take it slow and leisurely, enjoy the ambiance. I would never ever consider a touring plan.

Another great leisurely thing I love doing is going over to Central Park and just laying down on the lawn (as one would at the real Central park). Very few people ever set foot in that area so on a nice day with maybe a slight breeze, it's wonderful. I've gone there simply to do work for my college classes before

Yes, we do that just about every day we're in the Studios. I used to like the one bench right in the grassy shady area. But now they've moved all the benches to the sunny concrete area, so it's only grass for us now. ....NYC, in front of Louie's, is our favorite people watching area. Just like being in the Big Apple. :)

Not sure if the gears will make it to walls down. Last week they were down to white Styrofoam in many spots.
