It's not the size of WOC, but it pretty much features everything it has.

So now all we need is a Universal version of Chernabog.

It's not about the size of the nozzle, it's how you use it.

I would hope there is more versatility here given newer tech and thus needing lass fountains overall to acheive a similar effect.

I don't know, I'm getting a little nervous about this. There seem to be only about 120 fountains. That's way less than 1200 for WOC. Also, there doesn't appear to be any fire jets and there was no propane tank listed on the plans. Less than 20 jets are movable.

WOC's stage is a lot larger and this platform seems to have the same ratio of jets for its size. And I am sure that the fountains are not the show in its entirety. WOC has no pyro (except for fire) and this show could potentially have fireworks launched somewhere near F&F/Mummy/Transformers. I'd also point out that large very bright moving lights (like the ones used for Happily Ever After and Hogwarts Projections) are becoming very popular and could be used.

I think anyone looking for the WOC crazy fountain spectacle will be disappointed... Now a fountain/pyro hybrid could be pretty awesome though.

I still wish they could do the WOC New Years Eve show all the time, but Disney themed.

World of color platform is only twice this size. It has 1200 fountains. This one only has 120. That's not the same ratio.

Again, why anyone would be expecting the same level show as WOC from Universal when Uni hasn’t put together a baseline good show in their history is beyond me. I’ll take something that is good at this point. I’m more worried about that than I am them matching World of Color, which is disney on top of their game

This, exactly.
Lest we not forget... this is Universal. And not just Universal... but domestic Universal.
Even USJ shows and parades, which is the best of the best for Uni by a mile, pales in comparison to TDL/DS, the best of Disney.

If we can just get a night show or parade worthy of us tolerating/watching more than once, it’s a win.
They did that with the Christmas parade and Hogwarts Show- and if they can do it here, I’m cool with it.
I don’t need World of Color quality.
Rivers of Light quality would be more than fine.

I've counted the fountains that are installed. 19 standard straight fountains per row times 5 rows= 95. The rest are in 3 circle pattern arrays comprised of moving heads and special cannons. The smaller nozzles we saw waiting to be installed are for a fog effect.

Well, not RoL quality, as I don't want it to be in a troublesome level of technical issues at the start. ;)
