That's a good point. They could close the path for 5mins and it would be a great spectacle, made better if they played Flight of the Valkyries as 100s of drones fly over head. Here's the location I meant for anybody curious:

That building is a back-of-house extension of the connected wardrobe building, a new security/TM entrance, and at least one floor of offices.

The closest this will get to having ANY practical affect on the park for guests is if they decide to paint the part of the building that can be seen from inside of the park. Other than that, it's just about making things easier for TMs. When you're hiring and expanding at the pace they are, it's needed.

I'm now starting to get into full on holiday planning mode and I've been looking at the opening times for USF in September:

usf opening hours.JPG

Given that sunset is about 7.30pm, I'm going to assume that park hours will need to be extended unless all this effort is for a seasonal show.

Everyone's assuming "drone" means something that flies and not something that floats. I got no info on any drones, but drones don't have to fly.

Yea I'd say the only opportunity to see this during HHN season would be if they do a HHN show.

That's an excellent point. The Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays when HHN is on, have the park closing at 7. I'm going to be a little bummed if I miss this show. I won'r be arriving until the 14th.

And "drones" doesn't necessarily mean an army of drones. They could have a drone Delorean.

I could be wrong, but when I overheard people talking, I think it was the word "drone" without pluralization. Take that as you will.

Those 9pm closures for the first two weeks of September are atypical. I would imagine they are expecting the show to be a real draw to keep people there that long those days.

If they only use one drone it could be done from the water front and it could be cool like this thing:

Why didn’t they just drain the lagoon and have WET install a little something something.

I dunno many reasons from cost, to time, to the level of control UOR was willing to give to the show creator.

I for one hope they don’t use drones. 10 years ago, cool, but it is so passé at this point... something commonly used by real estate agents and the like.

I am going to continue to rag on this... I do not see any sizeable water canons at all... none of those that make the big popping sound. Has anyone seen anything that looks like them?

Drones didn't exist a decade ago? They are still new and were just featured in this years olympics?

The hoses say Petroleum SD. Does that mean it's used for a fire effect or will it be water?

It's definitely water - that feature is a water screen.

If they tried to pump a potential explosive through there at those volumes it would likely end very very badly.
