So it’s a classic film that would get fans excited but it’s also popular. From what Legacy’s said it sounds like it’d be a new IP.

Im gonna throw a bone and guess Silence of the Lambs since it’s one of the few IPs left that HHN has never used. Scream & Hellraiser could fit too but those are a bit harder to license IPs.

If it turns out that Silence of the Lambs was the property that replaced Gremlins...
Holy Moly I'd be so happy, as it is higher up on my wish list then Gremlins was.

Wouldn't get my hopes up. The deathhead moths would almost certainly require SIF. Sux because I've always been a huge fan of SIF to simulate being swarmed with something (the crow attack scene in Scarecrow)--if not for you-know-what I feel you could do a house where you can't actually see the monster using SIF and other such things.

To your first comment: The Sabrina rumor is from a few months back, and was specifically "in negotiations for Sabrina." While we (insiders) started expecting it, it's more likely that an agreement was never made on it so it wasn't on the table. Conversely, Gremlins, as rumors go, WAS on the table. It was approved and then lost (don't ask me why--I don't know and won't presume on it). So the "unknown" IP is technically replacing Gremlins.

Regarding TCM. I had not heard it until the article. Since, I have heard it. But it's impossible to tell if those rumors are because of the article or not. The other IP that could replace it is something else that has been on the fringes of the list for a couple of months. I haven't alluded to it because I haven't been able to source, but it's a rumor that won't die this year.

Candyman, IT, The Conjuring, Hellraiser, The Thing, The Invisible Man, Creepshow... Ehhhh thats about all I could remember.

I’m gonna make the assumption that IT, Candyman, and The Conjuring are definitely not happening based on convo that happened here, so could it really be Hellraiser, Invisible Man, Creepshow, or The Thing? If anyone wants to add to this list please do.

I'd love to see Dr. Lecter at the event (and MGM has worked with HHN in the past, with stuff like Poltergeist and Killer Klownz), so I'd be glad to see it come, but I've always struggled trying to come up with a satisfying layout. Would it just be the asylum, the prison break and the house confrontation?

You could also make good use of Quantico - forest as facade, then an intro in the office - the scene where he snatches the woman, the Vicks Vaporub scene, and then hire Doctor Jimmy for the finale.

As much as I want a FT13th house I feel like with the legal stuff happening I think that will intervene in them using Jason or anything with the Friday franchise, that also goes for Titans, Michael could be probably used just not for a reboot house purpose, Freddy and Leatherface also as well since they have not been used recently. I mean they could see use Freddy, Leatherface and Michael and have Jason out like how Hollywood’s house was like, it would feel different but who knows.

I'm primarily interested in what "tier 2/3" IP we're rumored to get instead of Sabrina.

I hope for Slasher. It's an intense whodunnit series with three seasons.

Bit of a shame it sounds like Gremlins was lost, but it happens. Rather it happen at this point, rather than a much later period when the house was well into construction and Purged.

So with the possibility of no Sabrina and Gremlins, and a "unknown" IP and well known IP being rumored, that's two houses.

Now about that third house. Going off what's been clued and discussed, all the remaining IP's (BJ, BE, UCM:B, HoHH) still match up and could be very well locked. Add in the two unknown IP's and that's still 6 of them. So if the 6:4 house ratio of IP's to Originals is still true, than one of the originals of the spec map is not coming. (There's also the chance of the 6:5 ratio if a 11th house was added, but that rumor is rather uncertain at the moment.)
Legendary Truth has been straight-up clued/rumored, and while not clued/rumored, Terra Crutenes has been openly discussed, and Bedtime Stories has always lingered as well. The only one that hasn't? Dungeon of Terror. There has been zero discussion, spec etc. of that house. It wasn't in the picture for anyone until it showed up on the spec map. So I can see that one not happening since there's just been no smoke to the fire for that one.

For some reason I just don’t see Texas coming this year. If we are getting a slasher as much as I don’t wanna see it I could see Halloween again this year since Halloween kills releases this year.

TCM is my dream ip, so when I read that article I got super excited and now that Legacy said he has heard it, I really hope it comes

I’m not sure about all that I think H4-H6 are safe. I would be totally down for a chucky toy store house! The chucky scarezone was one of my all time favorite zones!
