I really think it’s an issue with communication between the different departments. Security, Operations, and A&D all operate fairly independently, and only collaborate when absolutely necessary. Putting cameras in the houses would have to be pushed (and likely resourced) by Security rather than anyone else. For whatever reason, they seem to think the current system is suitable.

I was today years old when I found out that the houses for HHN Orlando don't have a lot of cameras in the houses. Ooooooof. For an event of that size and with that much $$$ to work with, you would THINK they would shell out a little extra cash to instal security cameras for everyone's safety.

Even HHN Hollywood has security cameras almost everywhere in their houses. Actually, that might explain the excessive black walls in the houses at Hollywood. All of the money is spent on security cameras.

But seriously though, I'm glad to hear HHN Orlando is getting better with security supposedly. Every time I go, I always seem to witness some drunken doofus punch a scareactor or become obnoxious and annoying in the houses.

Who says an announcement has been delayed? That's just people making up their own ideas of when an announcement should be coming.

And finalizing an IP less than a month before the event starts? That would mean the house would be more than rushed and would most likely suck. Building a house isn't just putting up walls, you need to source stuff that looks the same as the IP as well as create props from scratch, source all the costuming, develop masks, set up all the GATs, lighting, etc.

No way they're still trying to secure an IP a week before rehearsals.

Yeah; no way there’s another IP coming delaying an announcement now. You could say one was probably delayed a while ago because If Evil Dead was still happening we would’ve probably already gotten that announcement by now, but no way ones delayed now because of an IP being added.

The rest are originals and we’ll get an announcement soon. We’re not late yet. As I’ve said recently, the announcement of all the originals was on the 12th last year. Since the event starts one day earlier than last year, tomorrow the 11th is the equivalent of when everything was revealed last year, and it may happen then. Or it may not, who knows. You can’t say one was delayed or late though. After tomorrow if it doesn’t come you can say it’s late compared to last years standard I guess. It’ll come when it comes which will be soon at this point. Surely next week at the latest. (And I am betting on tomorrow, but still may not be I admit and not a big deal).

HHN queues need to be designed better and more comfortably. I'm not asking for a massage and a complimentary drink that is handed to me while entering the queue, but at least some fans/tvs for entertainment/etc. I also don't want to worry about tripping on a curb/pothole backstage lol

TheWeeknd is bound to be a minimum 90+ minute wait each night, hopefully, they add some much-needed entertainment... other than clips that play on queue screens.

My GUESS is it’s a teaser for an announcement tomorrow. Every announcement this year had a teaser the day before or close to it. Yes the teaser has been shorts of the actual trailer but that was for IPs. We are now talking about originals, scarezones, shows, etc. so they probably won’t get a trailer. I wish they would but I have a feeling they wont. This is my GUESS and could also mean NO announcement tomorrow.

It just feels like this year everyone went slowly more and more insane with every tweet from HHN, pleading for announcements lmao. But you're right we are in the endgame now.
