With the restaurants possibly going away at Crossroads Orlando could lose two Fuddruckers.

Wait, what is this about the restaurants at Crossroads going away?

From an Orlando Sentinel article
The Florida Department of Transportation has targeted the popular 29-acre dining hub for a Right-of-Way (ROW) taking to accommodate the redesigned I-4/S.R. 535 interchange. Under the recommended plan, a new exit road would bisect the property, and the rest of the site would be used for stormwater ponds.

Can't help but to notice that I4 right of way is taking out restaurants just outside of Disney but not touching Disney.

I believe the south west side of the interchange does cut into their property. It is just a bunch of trees right now tho.

So much for the new Disney Springs off-ramp fixing the traffic at the 535 exit. :blank:

It wasn't going to ever fix the traffic at that exit completely, and though its kind of hard to tell from the convoluted setup they're going with, that should help fix the troublesome traffic flow for each of the stoplights in the area of the I-4 overpass. Heck, just getting rid of Crossroads will help out immensely.

Anyway, about Artegon; I think Universal is completely focused on the south Lockheed land, and would only give this a glance as a way to control development in the area, similar to how Disney held onto the Crossroads land until not that long ago (early 2000s, I think?).

"Lionsgate and leisure center specialist Parques Reunidos are developing facilities based on Lionsgate brands including “The Hunger Games,” “Saw,” “Now You See Me,” “Orange is the New Black” and “Nashville.”"

That list of properties just gets more ridiculous as it goes on. Nashville is hilariously inappropriate as a theme park property or its elk. And Orange is the New Black... will people be paying to stay in jail?

It's like they made a top 10 list of properties that would worst adapt into themed attractions, but are actually making attractions based off them.

The projects mentioned in the article are small scale theme parks. The Lakeside Intu property in the UK is my local 'large' mall.

It will have a Nickelodeon themed park (apologies for the terrible local news site!):

Not really Loinsgate IP stuff but Power Rangers is.

Could certainly augment the Viacom stuff, particularly Power Rangers and Hunger Games.

Apologies for my off-topic response but never thought I'd see my local paper linked on this site! The Lakeside area is where I'm originally from.

Interesting that those details are confirmed - I wonder if it will actually get built? There's obviously some kind of value in the area as there were rumours that Euro Disney was originally going to be built just down the road from Lakeside, as well as the Paramount Park being constructed over the river in Kent (which looks doubtful now). It will be nice to see a project actually unfold!!

Haha, I am from Southend on Sea, about 30 miles from Lakeside.

The park will be built, I went for a job interview at Intu Head Office in London earlier in the year and it's one of the developments they were showing off to me!

Paramount Park is confusing me, the consultation seems to be going on forever. A girl at work likes in Gravesend and they are still receiving consultation papers about the roads etc. I think the Thames Crossing plans are slowing things up too. The people of Grays are not happy!

I hope there's some kind of plan for it instead of just letting it sit there.
