So as it stands now--the BGW 2025 coaster is not looking to be a Giga Drachen Spire. Nor is it a Hyper RMC. Nor does it seem to be a proper "thrill" coaster, from past statements.

What could this be? Speculation/Rumors have put this as...a B&M Family Invert, or something of that intensity.

Looking around, I'm not opposed to a family coaster. Since heck, if it's a B&M family invert, you could certainly play with homages to Big Bad Wolf here and there.

The main issue is the location, Festhaus Park is really tucked away in the back, and I agree with others it would be better suited having a bigger attraction to draw people in to walk over there. I don't think a family coaster is gonna' be the kind of draw an attraction needs to be for that area.

Yeah, I agree. Actually, I think the only way to get a lot of people back there is with a full land and a couple, or three, rides. Even when they had that very , if not too, thrill coaster back there, it was fairly empty of guests.

Big Bad Wolf was such a fun coaster. The terrain, layout, and zooming through the village was awesome. As stated, a nice tall lift hill gives people something to walk towards. DarKoaster is a family coaster and Invadr is as well. So, a more thrilling coaster would be a good addition. Something between family and high-speed thrills.

Big Bad Wolf was well loved, and it had an excellent location in the busiest BGW land at the time it existed. I still think BGW needs at the least a mini land, preferably a full land, in that area if it's going to attract a crowd past it's opening year.

I love the idea that this could be a successor to Big Bad Wolf-- I hope it happens and that they are correct in their assumptions.

While it's been a bit, the B&M family invert is in fact arriving in 2025. With the park touting it as the longest family inverted coaster in North America. Notably, between now and September 25th, you can vote for what the name of the coaster will be.

The three choices are...

WölfsReign

GeisterWölf

WölfSturm

...personally, I'd just reuse Big Bad Wolf as that worked just fine and the sheer fact this coaster is inspired by and emulating the original with the run through the village. Either way, if you want to vote the link is below.

So, a funny thing happened with the naming of the new coaster. Even with the voting contest, turns out I wasn't the only one who pointed out the obvious regarding the name of a coaster that is fully inspired by Big Bad Wolf...as BGW just announced...

While we're in the realm of the subtitle which always get's a little silly, I'll take it. When the coaster is so inspired by the original BBW, you might as well reuse the name in some fashion because it's pretty obvious what it's emulating.

it's a bit of a mouthful, but the sentiment is nice.

The original was soooo much fun. I was lucky enough to get a few last rides in a month before it closed forever.

I think this will be a popular addition to the park, fulfilling the role the original played as a "first big coaster" for kids and families. BBW was just the right blend of thrills and family, and I think this will be a decent replacement.

This ride looks insane! I'm really interested to see the track switch from Vekoma to B&M track. The inverted stall looks wild too...

They absolutely killed it on the Photoshop front! XD

It's a little corny, but I like it haha. I love this Vekoma model so very excited for this.

Fun article from BGW about several rumored future developments at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Unlikely that all will come to fruition, though some may eventually move forward.
