There will be sidewalks. You'll be able to walk. It just won't be recommended.

And technically, there would be room to expand the waterway to the hotel.

But where would they expand it? Only site E, in my opinion, makes sense but that would be a lot of money to connect the current waterway and that site.

It would cross over site D and up to the top corner of Cabana Bay.

And expanding the waterway wouldn't be as expensive as you'd think. But I doubt they'd do it. It's not in their plans.

That's the problem. It's not in the plans and it irritates me. One thing that I really love about the resort is the water taxis. It's a great benefit to have at Universal, and it's a lot better than sitting on a shuttle. Even the walkways are better than a shuttle. It's another reason why UOR is so amazing. Without a water way and a nice walk way from the hotel to City Walk, not to mention there's no express pass in this room keys, it just devalues the hotel for me.

By the way, how much does it cost to make the waterways anyway?

There is/will be a walkway. I don't really know what you were expecting. There's no more room for a direct hotel attached to City Walk. Even if it was on Site D there wouldn't be a direct walkway. It's just the way the resort is with roadways.

The hotel isn't supposed to be on the same level as the other 3, so if it's devalued compared to them, it's supposed to be. It's like complaining that you don't get a monorail from a moderate Disney hotel.

I'm talking about a walkway like the ones from the hotels to City Walk, and yeah it can't directly connect to City Walk, but it can connect to one from Royal Pacific. I think I mentioned, or someone else did, before that there would need to be another hotel or something in the space between RP and CBB before they could build a waterway with a walk way. I'm just disappointed that the plans don't have an area where they could one day connect to a waterway.

Yes it's like complaining that there's no Monorails connecting the moderate hotels, but this is Universal. They're supposed to be different from Disney. I guess I won't expect a water system there for a couple of years, but at least give it an opportunity one day.

And this hotel is supposed to be different than the other three. This is a value/moderate resort. You can't offer the same stuff for less. I'd like to see the waterway, but overall, I'm okay with it considering it's a value resort. I'm just excited for the ability to stay on property for cheaper.

Yes, there will be sidewalks/walkways. But without modifying Adventure Way to be like the other bridges on property with the waterway and combined walkway going under the bridge, said walkway would have to utilize crosswalks.

What I believe they will end up settling on (and makes the most common/financial sense) is making a crosswalk that spans the the northwest corner of the Cabana Bay plot along Hollywood Way and then connects to the pre-existing sidewalk that runs along the southern side of IOA. This sidewalk eventually has a pedestrian entrance that meets up with the RPR walkway right by CityWalk.

The walkway plan that I'm talking about follows the red line in the following map:

Now that I think about, exactly what benefits, other than staying for a cheap price, will be offered? Express pass is out of course, but what else? If it's just the cheap price then it's kinda like a Universal Partner hotel. Maybe the pool will be amazing, but I guess we'll just wait for more details.

Early admission, at least, has been confirmed. We'll see as it gets closer to opening before we say that's it.

The only things that we know CBBR will absolutely not have is the waterway and Express, since they've outright said it. It will still probably have discounts on food and merch on property, complimentary purchase delivery to rooms, and preferred seating at restaurants.

I wonder if Universal ever considered an extra hour for hotel guests. It would probably be too much, but it doesn't hurt to think about it.

Food and shopping discounts should be enough. If early admission has been confirmed, I would doubt that includes three brooms potter breakfast... perhaps a special breakfast at US and even a breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron or Transformers Cafe (or whatever it will be called). They are really expanding their options for perks.

As attendance and offerings increase, it will happen IMO.

Holy ground work! Someone might want to stop by and take pics. I haven't been to work in two days and it's impressive what they did in those 48 hours.

Someone could get some great shots if they were sitting in the passenger seat of a car getting off of I-4 at the Sand Lake Exit.
