It's kinda weird, Ispeed only has one launch, but RCDB calls it a Blitz.

Intamin's coasters with more than one launch. Cheetaka is a Blitz.

I know. I was kind of excited to see someone talking about cheetaka until he said Calypso. I guess he got the first letter right.

So how many launch segments is Cheetaka reported to have? I can count 4 - Out of the station, first trench to the helix tower, after the zero g roll turn, and after the twist segment. Im not certain if those are launch segments or not, they were just points in the video when I noticed it picking up speed without a natural force.

It'll have three. All of the ones you mentioned except for the one after the zero g roll, which will be a block brake.

Based on an Email that I just received from the park, I can confirm that the coaster will be titled "CheeTaka" with a capital "T". Nothing major to report but just a little confirmation before the big unveil tomorrow morning

I just looked htis up: "taka" means "want" in Swahili, which probably has nothing to do with the coaster. The name's ok, but I still would have preferred a real African name.

Actually I'm pretty sure it won't be launching out of the station, but that stretch of track after the tower appears to be a launch. So it's still three: launch into tower, launch across the landscape, and launch after the twisty bits.

So what is the fate of Cheetah Chase? Will they have two coasters with "Cheetah" in the title.
