this ones a doozey.
i was at Blizzard Beach today, and we were riding Downhill Double Dipper. The slide counts how long it takes to go down, so its a fair race. i said "wow that guy went down in 5 seconds" and then this little girl "corrected" me by saying "no, its minutes not seconds".
Me and my friends were saying things like " oh wait, its actually an hour" all day

My physics teacher states incorrect things like that all the time, and I always have to correct him. We got into a debate over G forces on a particular rollercoaster and after he calculated the forces and everything it turned out I was right. The thing that annoys me the most though is when people say they went on Dueling Dragons and their feet kicked the other train, unless you and the rider you kicked happen to be over 7 feet tall its not possible!!!

"Lets go ride the flying teacups!", at the Magic Kingdom.
"Is Harry Potter a new theme park?", almost everyone that doesn't follow theme parks.

"No, like, it even says it on the website. You have to PAY to get into the Wizarding World separately. It's a separate theme park."

Unfortunately I lost the heart to correct people, even my friends when they're this wrong.

Honestly, you have to give Universal a fair amount of blame for that. I mean, they do call it a "theme park". There would be no confusion if they didn't.

Hmmm. I suppose you're right. It's just hard for me to wrap my head around wrong information I hear when I keep up with the park as much as I do.

On Busch Gardens's Facebook page: "I'm glad they're opening a new coaster for the kids." FAIL

When I was on The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride, some middle-aged looking guy that was sitting next to me said "Well this isn't the Harry Potter ride..." Yeah, a colorful, cartoony ride, Yep! This is where Harry Potter is all right!

Also, while I was in line for Storm Force Acceleration, after the announcer said the after- ide instruction stuff ("Please exit your ride vehicles and have a great day here at Islands of Adventure.") Some lady next to said "What did he say about the roller coaster?" I really hate it when people call every ride a roller coaster.

One more thing, after I rode Forbidden Journey, when my stepdad brought me a frozen Butterbeer he got while I was on the ride, he said that when he was in line for the Butterbeer cart, someone in the line told him not to get the frozen Butterbeer because it would give you a brainfreeze. Um, isn't that just the kind of thing that casually happens when you drink a Slurpie-type too fast? Why would you warn someone as if it was a health problem? Isn't that the kind of thing that you would expect?

Some of these things I think to myself fair enough if you don't keep up with theme parks in the way we do, but it never ceases to amaze me me how people can spend so much money visiting a place and no so little about it.
We came into Epcot on our hotel shuttle one morning, and a couple had been pouring over park maps all morning with confused looks on their faces. So we headed to the Monorail to get to TTC and they followed us the whole way (we must've looked like we knew where we were going lol) and ended up in the seat opposite us on the Monorail. I'm telling you, their conversation the whole way there was hilarious, some personal highlights include:
"So is Epcot in the Magic Kingdom? I thought they only had fairies?"
"Is World Showcase a ride?"
Upon arriving at TTC: "What's the Transport Centre, is it a ride, do we need extra tickets, where's Snow White's castle?!"
I'm sure there was more, but this is what I can remember.

So they followed us off the monorail at the TTC but when they saw us getting on the Resort Line (we were heading to the Poly) they wandered off and managed to find their way to the Ferryboat eventually but they did make us laugh for the rest of the day

So just back from a week onsite Disney and we heard some doozies, I'll have to try to remember them all. Best had to be this conversation though:
My 9 year old spots a spider web in a bush near the gorilla exhibit at Animal Kingdom (on the pangani or whatever trail). He says to me it's a Black Widow spider in the web. I take a close look and having lived in Florida now 4 years and killed many of them in my garage-I agree and am quite certain he is correct. So we're looking at it and he's saying it's poisonous so don't touch it, yada yada. An older gentleman and his wife are passing by and notice us so they stop and check it out.

My son tells him it's a black widow, it's poisonous, so on, so on. This tool says "Oh, no son, that can't be a real spider. It's just a display. Disney would never allow a dangerous spider or any animal on its property." So I start laughing and say, "Oh really, why don't you go ahead and give it a little pet then sir." He literally goes to touch it and it moves across the web. He for certain pissed his depends and jumped back, realizing it was in fact real. HAHA!

Why are people so stupid? Like Disney can control nature? hahaha I told the guy I've seen 4 gators in my trips to Disney over the years. Two in the channels around the property and two in Bay Lake, probably where he swims! I also had a friend who rented out strollers and in the backstage area I guess where they stage the strollers they occasionally come across rattle snakes lying in the strollers! YIKES! It's funny how people go on vacation and leave common sense and their brains at home.

 Some people, they just wanna believe everything is Disney magic and fantasies. I love when they think the animals in the Animal Kingdom are fake.

Some funny ones from the Wizarding World today.

"I thought Dueling Dragons was in Disney World?"
"They must have moved it."

"We didn't like that Three Hogs... Three Pigs... Three Britches..?"
