The POV I saw was a little under 3 minutes and it started in the middle of the phantom scene. So the ride seems to be pushing almost 4 minutes if not that. BUT that is 4ish minutes of non-stop action! That is impressive in itself. Not too many rides can do that with most having filler scenes and transition areas.

Design team: "We have created enough fantastic effects for a 7 min. ride."

UC Exec.: "Great, I love it, but shove all of it into 4 mins."

They, legit, really did! That is my ONLY real complaint, its sensory/action overload. Like slow down lol Let me savor the moment. Did that wolfman pee on me, oh wait, was that the mummy, ahhhh the brides are back! lol.

Hi guys long time listener first time caller, could anyone describe the movements the arm/ride vehicle does in Monsters unchained? I’m a little nervous of what the feelings will be. Thank you

Very smooth ride experience, probably similar to Spider-Man but without any significant spinning or rocky motion.

Are there any points where youre fully facing down or up ? I’ve seen some POVs but due to the obvious dark, I haven’t been able to get a good picture of what it’ll be like.

This tracks. I would’ve been surprised if they licensed the cue, but this sounds like an extremely similar (and thus recognizable) but legally distinct stand-in.

Well.... as far as licensing goes, the musical is (or was) available for HS theatre productions. But more importantly, while WB owned the musical's film adaptation rights since the late 80s/early 90s (when they had originally planned a big screen adaptation with the original stage cast), the 25th Anniversary production filmed at Royal Albert Hall (released in theatres & on bluray) was NOT from WB. I squeed like a total fanboy when "Universal Pictures Presents" graced the screen.

So with that being said, it is very possible that Universal did use the iconic music from the ALW musical for the Phantom's scene.

Of course, it's also possible it's a cover version from Danny Elfman to pay less royalties.

Someone needs to get Universal to make merch featuring dialogue quotes from Monsters Unchained.

It seems like Ygor, Victoria & Dracula each have a few good one-liners to slap on shirts/merch

I saw someone post about how there is a Frankenstein’s monster figure in the queue for Unchained that uses the Karloff likeness. It also seems like the portrait they have of Dr. Frankenstein in the queue is of Colin Clive. Are there any other uses of the original actor’s likenesses in the land?

I think they had a picture of the original gypsy actress from the first Wolfman but I can't find an image to confirm.

Not seen it, but I can't see how a tarp will make CotW any better.

About the only thing I can think of that would make Werewolf better is an actual AA with dialog.

Yeah, even then I don't think it'll be much of an improvement lol

I think they should have flipped the ride's layout, station/queue where the swing launch is and the fun ride part where the station is. Would have not impacted the design of DU as much.

I would have preferred for them to attach the spinning coaster to the hub instead as Space Fantasy's cousin if they feared capacity concerns. Save space for a proper DU expansion later on.

On CotW does the first cart spin a lot more than the rest of them? Or is it still weight distribution dependent ?

Definitely weight distribution. One ride in the front we barely spun at all, near the end of the day when we rode again we were spinning like crazy in the same seats.
