Yup. But if they need more room for queue, they might just tack on Gru's Greenhouse out back.

Okay. I wasn't sure if through the doorway it would go straight into the man building, then have the outside used for overflow. I feel like the roof of the outdoor queue is too low though for his living room, no?

I wouldn't think so. This is what it looked like before:

Looks like it could fit the layout of the concept art we saw.

Ceiling looks pretty high in this concept art. Maybe that's just a different part of the queue. With the glasses bin that section is probably closer to the actual ride.

The teaser trailer to Despicable Me 2 is nothing but Minion mayhem...

^ That looks hilarious. I hope we have similar energy in the ride.

Oh goodness, should I be ashamed that I felt like that minion in the back while watching this video? I've two guys next to me sniffling and a girl across from me chewing and popping gum. I just want to sock them like that minion...

I am so excited about this attraction. The moving was cute, and sweet, and funny. I just want it to capture that from the movie, and let you experience that.

I just really hope that the queue is more of an interactive line like Winnie the Pooh than another telivision line like JN. It would fit really well with the minion mayhem feeling. And it really seems like production central won't look as much as a production studio anymore. They are not even trying to fit this ride with that theme, and hopefuly that will lead to something more interesting with the area.

The entrance needs a change and this is step in the right direction.

Yeah it's always mildly disappointing walking in the park because Production Central is one of the most bland areas of the park. I would love to see them completely redo the entrance way like they're doing a California Adventure. The park could use the facelift.

--- Update ---

Great photos hatetofly, glad to see there's been some progress

I haven't seen Despicable Me, I don't know much about it. But I'm optimistic about the attraction, although that new facade looks extremely awkward to me. Just not used to seeing a structure like that in that area of the park.

Thanks for the pic update! This is moving along nicely, with more framing and what looks like a soon-to-be chimney. Looks good!

I find it odd long it's taking to build this facade. I wonder if it was a late addition to the project by Universal Creative and the outer shell isn't done yet?

Nah, it is more of the fact that it is so close to hugging a very high traffic area for the park. It is not easy for them to do heavy work during operating hours.

Interior first. The show is the most important part. Besides, painting a queue and finishing a facade is easy visual work which has already been pre-planned. Digital media work and synchronization is the work with the most problems laden, and I expect that's why the facade work seems to have paused.
