I mean it might be annoying if you're in the middle of a game but realistically you'll be able to play at least one game. If it shuts off it'll be in the middle of your 2nd or maybe even 3rd game.

Anybody know of a pricing point yet? These types of things are usually ridiculously expensive. It's kind of like Universal's new minigolf just being too pricey to justify playing.

I disagree. I do not think that the Hollywood Drive-In Mini Golf is took expensive. I think that for the location, and experience the cost is justified.

I have played it twice and both times it has taken me 2+ hours to play through. That being said 13.00 for 2 hours of entertainment isn't bad.

Yeah, I guess it's not a bad price considering it's at Universal. But mini-golf in general always seemed like a waste of money to me. The same could go for this bowling alley in DD.

My issue with this is that while you pay a bit of a premium for the mini-golf, it's only about two bucks more than what you'd pay offsite. Meanwhile, these new "luxury" bowling lanes are charging $30 for what I can do at my local lanes for $10. That's just too much of a difference.

Isn't the bowling alley doubling as a dance hall?

I know it is going to be a pretty unique bowling alley with limited lanes compared to the floor size of the building. You will sort of have your personal bowling experience more secluded than you would at a typical bowling alley. Also people who bowl will have access to a full resturant style kitchen menu. That is pretty neat. Not saying it would be easy for me to spend a lot neat, but I would try it once if I had the money and time.

I know some cast members who are already wanting CM bowling teams and themed bowling nights (disco, and whatever). I think Disney finally wised up and put that honkin' Virgin building to good use, but I won't likely be all that frequent a visitor.

Orlando Theme Park News takes a very sad look around the desolate looking Pleasure Island.

I hesitate to even bring it up because we've heard this before. Having given the disclaimer, I've heard that Mannequins and Comedy Warehouse reopening will be announced in October.

Edit: Announcement in October.

Hard to believe it's been a year since they removed the club signs.

Also, this is what the AC interior looks like right now:

My reaction to reading that rumor on Twitter.

With Disney, I'll believe it when I see it.

Looking at those pictures

It's so incredibly frustrating that they destroyed such an brilliant idea. And now, to have it laying there like the other dormant pieces of land in Walt's Wasteland is nothing short of pathetic. They have been so on again and off again with this project it's unbelievable.

I think it's a solid addition for DTD, but I doubt I'd ever go there.

I'll go maybe since you know it won't be cheap, but it's a nice addition. I'm sure people will eat it up.
