No worries. I just now went back and saw how this PI thread has morphed into a Splitsville update thread.

That looks very nice! Is there an official price for this yet?

$15 from open till 5:30

and 20$ from 5:30 to 10:30

After that until 2am it goes back to fifteen.

If not that it is somewhere around there last I heard. Also, you don't pay by the game, you pay by a timed session which I believe are an hour and a half or two hours.

Thanks for the info, Splatter! :rep:

$15 to $20 is an ok price for 90-120 minutes. I mean, this is at Disney, so I wouldn't expect local bowling alley pricing

And honestly local bowling alley pricing is not too far off. Maybe half that at your smaller places in bigger cities and this should be well maintained and fully staffed.

That being said, I don't know if the food concept works well with that pricing. I mean if I have around the length of a movie to bowl. I am not going to get a big burger and fries to chow down on while the game is going as I know my time is limited.

Does that price include shoes also?

Yes, it includes shoe rentals. Most Bowling Alleys do(and should) include shoe rentals in the price of their games, or in this case, time because it is mandatory to wear bowling approved shoes on the game area.

Can't go to Splitsville. Violates my Downtown Disney boycott.

Have I mentioned how much I can't wait to check this out (as soon as my wallet will allow, that is)? I may be able to make the splurge this month to check it out once it officially opens.

Price breakdown from WDWMagic:

Now onto the big question of how much bowling will cost. Pricing varies depending on time of day, with pre-5pm bowling costing $15 per person for 1.5 hours, which includes shoe rental. After 5pm, the price moves to $20 per person until 10pm. From 10:30pm to 2am, the price falls back to $15 per person. The cost is based on time, rather than a number of games, which should make reservations much smoother to operate, as there are no variables of game time. Reservations will not be available initially, but will become available in the New Year.

10:30am-5pm: $15/person for 1 1/2 hours of bowling (includes shoe rental)
5:00pm-10:30pm: $20/person for 1 1/2 hours of bowling (includes shoe rental)
10:30pm-2:00am: $15/person for 1 1/2 hours of bowling (includes shoe rental)

That's pretty damn affordable. The Splitsville here in Miami charges the same, but for an hour session.

The fact that it goes back down to $15 after 10:30 (and the 21+ only upstairs after 10:30) is pretty appealing.

From Disney Parks Blog

World’s Largest Splitsville Set to Open December 19 at Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort
Wow, in the last 48 hours, we’ve shared some exciting announcements, including a flying Disney Dragon, ribbon cutting for Test Track and the grand opening of New Fantasyland. Today, there’s more to share. We just held a media preview for the world’s largest Splitsville right here in Downtown Disney. Minutes ago, Splitsville founders Guy Revelle and Mark Gibson confirmed that the lanes are scheduled to officially open on December 19.

And if you’re as excited as I am about the opening of Splitsville, we’re planning something special for you: we will be offering the opportunity to be one of the first people on the lanes during a Disney Parks Blog Meet-Up. Follow @WaltDisneyWorld and @DisneyParks on Twitter or keep checking the Blog in upcoming days for first word on when you can RSVP for the Downtown Disney event.

When Splitsville opens, it’ll initially offer walk-ups only. To reserve a bowling or dining spot, you’ll need to visit a Splitsville greeter who will assist you. A phone reservation number will be available at a later date.

Also, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the second floor will be reserved for guests ages 21+ who arrive after 10:30 p.m. For more information, visit DisneyWorld.com/Splitsville. You can follow the conversation now on Twitter by using the hashtag [HASHTAG]#WDWSplitsville[/HASHTAG].

Looking forward to checking this out at some point once it opens. Finally some fun back in DTD! Also, with Curl and (supposedly) Ridemakerz moving soon, the West Side has seen a lot of love of late. Let's hope it's in preparation for something bigger to come.

Anyone know how many lanes they have? Doesn't look like they are too many from the pictures I have seen and now this video. I can see it being really busy and having to wait forever for a lanes, especially weekends and peak times.
