What if you want something thats intense and themed? Best theme there is.. Well... The Looney Tunes land. And that's pathetic. Actually I forgot about Superman, that's sort of themed.

In my opinion, Disneyland resort already has a lot of themed dark rides... they need something a bit more intense. I mean, the only intense thing in that resort is California Screaming and maybe Hollywood Tower of Terror and that's it... 60+ attractions in the resort and just 2 intense attractions

Agreed, but why not a Gringotts-esque ride. Thrilling but like a dark ride and it could be anything as if and this is a idea so hear me. If a Frozen Darkride is made ; i'd like to see them using Sleds and have it like Gringotts but with some more intensity as it really could work if done with something new and original. It doesn't have to follow any guidelines and be one of each. Thats where I stand on this matter and regarding around INTENSE attractions. Yea, a few more would be nice as they have to cater to teens and adults also.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be anymore intense rides EVER AGAIN at the Disneyland Resort, but California Adventure needs another non-thrill ride or some sort of immersive dark ride to be more roundes out...

I do think DCA will get another immersive dark ride but They REALLY wana focus on Disneyland for now as shown with Fantsy Faire, BTM refurb, Alice refurb and possibly most of Fantasyland rides as keep it with salt but a rumor is that for the 60, they're revamping most of the Fantasyland rides. If its true but i think it has a chance and heres the link where i founded it.

http://disneyandmore.blogspot.com/2014/04/new-wdi-seven-dwarfs-mine-train-video.html

If its true, it'd be a major redo of the faces and it'd have a new lease on the classic rides (If its true).

They need a lot of work, and those 7 dwarf's look really... Off to me, but I think the potential for them is HUGE! It's a little too uncanny valley right now, but I'd bet it would work spectacular on a cool monster or alien animatronic.

Actually, It's probably going to be used a ton in Avatar Land.

Soo... July 17th is Disneyland 60th Anniversary preview/announcement day. Thoughts on what will be revealed?

I think one of the announcements revolves around the Fantasyland Dark ride Animatronics..

If Screamscape is right about the announcement, I'm hoping for the following:

Updating all the effects and animatronics for all the Fantasyland dark rides.

New fireworks show.

New parade (preferably new nighttime parade or the return of Main Street Electrical Parade if the theme of the anniversary is "nostalgia")

Announcement regarding any specific promotions or events they'll be doing for park guests and/or fans during he 60th celebration.

Maybe an Announcement for a Frozen attraction or finally announcing that they have plans for more Star Wars, Marvel, and a new Tomorrowland.

Return of the Hatbox Ghost to Haunted Mansion.

Little nostalgic additions all over the park.

Updates and refreshing of the whole park.

I really hope there'll be something that has to do with attractions and not just new entertainment.

I have been thinking on what might more than likely will be announced and i'm going to list them in 3 Catagories:

Most likely, Possibly, or not happening.

Most Likely:

1.) Fantasyland Dark ride update announcement

2.) Parade announcement

3.) Fireworks/Projection show like the show from TokyoDisneyland

4.) Promotions

Possibily:

1.) Hatbox Ghost confirmed for return

2.) Soarin HD announcement or Soarin around the World

3.) A new Ride for 2016

Not likely:

1.) Water show at Castle

2.) MyMagic and FF+ Coming to DLR

Those make sense for reasons like for the Soarin HD or Soarin Around the World announcement is due to they did some filming

in the park earlier this year of a Aerial shot going from Car'sLand to the Castle. With the Hatbox Ghost; More likely just due to

they even showed him and said 'He is going to come to Disneyland' but they also need to confirm those sayings from D23.

I really agree with what Allen is saying but i'd retract that the Electrical Parade would come back just due to wasn't Japan

supposed to Get it after WDW's turn end? I might be wrong on that but I don't see it coming back but if it does. Then i'm all

Fine by it. And with the New Attraction; They would be really stupid to not have something to compeat with Harry Potter and

would work out well and they wouldn't be rushing it with a time of 2 years which is good to say to the least. But thats what i'd say

on the Subject.

If they announced an E-Ticket attraction I'd die from shock.

My guess is: the Fantasyland refurbishment will somehow be linked into the WDW one as they'll announce a "re-imagining" of sorts. Some fancy Disney lingo or whatever.

That'll be the big one along with new night parade and fireworks.

I'm sure there will be also a limited time magic-based aspect to all of it as well.

I think they need to post a stamp on that they will bring not only Content for they're 50th but also the future.. but i'm not going to talk anymore on speculation for me and ask about one of the Dark rides that will be refurbed..

Mr toad. I really don't know what they'll do with it as there's practically no Animatronics and its all mainly Cutouts poping up and i'm kinda worried about that. Seems that i'm nitpicking but as if what it seems; all of the Fantasyland Dark rides are to get Animatronics like the Seven Dwarfs style.. I might just be pulling my own butt but it just worrys me.

I went yesterday to the park... so many rides having technical difficulties that I could not believe that Pirates went down for a bit, Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise... I mean this is Disneyland. Indiana and Splash just got refurbs... how can this happen?

Yeah we have rides go down every day at Disney. Normal. We run those rides on strict timed systems. If they take too long at dispatch, it will emergency stop the ride and shut the system down. If the system hiccups, it will shut down. If a sensor is tripped at all, the system will shut down. It happens all the time. It's a safety thing more than anything.

Very true. When I worked at the park, specifically Fantasyland, our rides went down not because of technical problems, but mostly for safety issues or guest issues.

It does. We just don't report on it daily since it's not really major news.

Part of the daily grind of theme park operations.

And USH uses different ride op computer systems. The Mummy is however very similar to the ride system of a few Disney rides, and that one will e-stop almost daily. I've seen it happen.
