Trust me, USH's rides go down a ton. They just have far, far less rides so it seems to happen less often. A day on the lower lot where a ride didn't experience a single 10-7 was a miracle.

I'd imagine a Disneyland day where one ride doesn't go 101 at least once is... probably a day that doesn't exist.

Hee hee you know the code! So its a 10-7 for USH? I got pegged as a cast member once when I slipped and asked if JP went 101.

Disneyland has announced a new "Legends of Frontierland" interactive queue experience. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2014/06/disneyland-park-guests-to-create-the-story-of-legends-of-frontierland-gold-rush/

Speaking of which, has anyone noticed how the fog blasts in the dynamite scene have not been working lately? Anyone know if they're working on that?

So I just read that the 60th anniversary reveal will be on July 17th. I'm going to be a latecomer here and throw in my predictions as well:

-New fireworks show

-New parade (Ugh, I hate the parades).

-Fantasyland dark rides restoration

-Soarin' 2.0

-Reintroduction of the Hatbox Ghost in the Mansion.

-Another 24 event (Of course)....possibly a 60 hour event.

-An announcement for one or two E-Tickets for the future (2017/18/19). Monstropolis/Monsters Inc. coaster? Frozen ride?

-Maybe some new food options that are 60th exclusive.

I forgot about the 24 hour but yea; I think we're seeing a 60 hour event and only for DL. And the Legends thing isn't for BTMS line..

Its for the Golden HorseShoe.

A 60 hour event is ridiculous and I don't see that happening, I don't care what micechat said. There's no logic to having a "60 hour" event.

What's the point of having an event lasting exactly 2.5 days...?

Didn't they have a Star Tours 72-hour event when the ride opened up in 87? Granted it was for one ride but the whole park would be weird but not impossible. The park just stays perpetually open for two and a half days? I'm just waiting for the day Disney goes, "screw it" and gives into 24-hour operation for like, a month as a test. People would come in droves since the families wouldn't come during the night.

Yeah it's old-fashioned police code for USH. 10-7 is "out of service". 10-8, you're back in business. A 10-70 means the ride is closed, and a 10-80 means it's open. Pretty simple until you get into the myriad of evac codes.

Funny enough, my favorite 10-7 story was actually at JP and I didn't even work at the attraction. I was called over there on emergency loan and grabbed a coworker waiting for position, and we came in not really knowing how they handle recovery. One of the TMs just shrugged and said, "jelly belly throwing contest", grab a bunch and chucked it out to the crowd. (since you couldn't easily navigate it) Despite the fact that the ride was obviously not coming up anytime soon (as I could hear from the radio feed), the crowd just ate it up. They started trying to throw jelly bean packets themselves. It was just super fun despite the immense heat. Sadly shortly after I came back, the ride went a full 10-70 and the line was evacuated. At least they had fun.

Oh... sorry I forgot this is the Disneyland thread. Carry on.

First off, This isn't true on the case of HWS because of Indiana Jones.. Cast Members confirmed it won't close with American Idol in January and with DL; That is something i'm not so sure.. I'll believe it when I see it as they could announce it with the 60th Anniversary but as of right now, I don't belive it.

Here's the video on YouTube, and it looks great! I like the new projections. I hope that they eventually put in new animatronics soon as that would really make it look nice.

The update looks absolutely incredible. The ride totally looks refreshed and feels new, and the little additional effects and figures add a lot!

To Quote Murdy today:

'The Suspense is terrible, I hope it lasts!'

I'm really hoping the people going to the Disneyland 60th year anniversary reveal have a blast.

Do you know where that quote is from originally? :)

And I love the Diamond Anniversary logo so far!

Heres how I presume the 'Diamond Celebration' will work in.. In the more recent Re-releases of some of the Disney animated films, there is a Diamond edition. What I see is that Fantasyland, will be the ones getting the Diamond Re-released rides which started with Alice in Wonderland and it is going to keep going. Its just my thoughts on why Diamond Celebration would be that in my opinion. Now, I was actauly kinda mad about the Lack of reveals but, best not to ruin the birthday and more will come soon.

Absolutely loved the reimagined Alice in Wonderland ride today! Felt so fresh and looked like a brand new ride! The little effects and additions added so much!
