Alex, a lot of change happened to make room for DCA, so it's not impossible, and it's already part of the Anaheim Resort Expansion Plan. I personally can't wait for it.

theres a difference, they had space to expand in DCA with removing most of Timmon and Pumbas parking. I am not exactly sure where they could put it as I doubt it will be at that overflow lot.

As it's been mentioned multiple times in the past, there's more than enough room for a 3rd park, the Toy Story parking lot is temporarily zoned for parking but will eventually be the site of the 3rd park. Will probably be around the size of DCA or something similar in size. The logistics they'll have to go through is how to get guests from the main Esplanade to the 3rd park. Garden Walk is a good way to do this, depending on if Disney buys it out eventually. There's lots of possibilities for the future.

What could the third park even be? I see DCA is a bit of Hollywood studios/regional theming already. Think I could see for a third park is if they wanted to focus more on branding in a new park, or something akin to epcot. First I heard of a third park, but that would be interesting. Increase traffic of course, but would get a lot of the crowd pressure off of disneyland.

They could delve more into Star Wars, Pixar, and some of their newer 3D animated films. We could finally get an Incredibles attraction!!

I will chain myself to Car-Toon Spin before I let Toontown go.

That said, removing it would be risky if only because the Mickey Meet n Greet is ridiculously popular and the queue is so good and holds so many people. To move it would require a big space. It's a huge people eater.

Also due to the firework launching and pyro fallout zones, anything placed in Toontown would also be subject to early closure every night with NO reopening.

Toontown closes at 8pm in peak to prep for fireworks. Not smart to place a popular new attraction when it'll close down 4 hours before the park does.

Also, with that, a good deal of families with very young children - Toontown's core demographic - often leave around or before 8pm. Making it easier to clear people out fast for pyro. Anything else back there would delay pyro prep and result in headaches all around.

There can be a solution of making a replacement area all indoor causing the no need to close and delay. Unlikely yes but Look at Knockturn.

There's lots of ideas they can use for a 3rd park. A Hero Park (brave, incredibles, marvel, more star wars, etc etc) or my favorite idea is a Fantasy version of Epcot that I'd call Disney's Legend Kingdom. It would be lands of different countries or continents, and would be based on different historical or fantasy legends and myths from each country. Lots of possibilities and you can incorporate lots of different franchises and original ideas.

I have an amazing write up about it that I'll post soon.

I'm posting here live at DCA and it is CROWDED. I would love to see that third park come to fruition sooner than later.

I thought DCA usually is filled with people who are unable to get into DL??But yes...a third park would take a lot of the stress off of both parks I say. I like the idea of a hero park...I say that in innovations where they have the marvel character meet and greet, easily 30-40 minute wait times to meet Cap and Thor. So a Marvel land in a 3rd park would be super popular.

For what it's worth, when I was leaving DCA, I got pulled into doing a survey. The majority of the survey mainly dealt with "where did you eat, how would you rate your experience overall, and what characters did you meet (and how were they)?". What I found interesting is that they asked me what attractions I visited at Bug's Land and what I thought of them. I guess they have plans for Bugs Land's location?

Nope, just a satisfaction survey that they do every single day for statistics, etc. Nothing is planned for Bugs Land as a replacement at this point, Disney has other projects on their mind :)

To be honest, it just doesn't feel like that lately. I know they do but it feels like that.

Trust me. No plans for Bugs Land right now. It's not amazing but it's serving its purpose in DCA right now. It will most likely be removed in the future but as of now, it'll stay put, Disney has other things in mind.

If something changes, I'll be shocked.

I would be shocked too if they had any plans. If anyone even remembers its a bugs life...I can see it getting taken out in the future if Disney isn't planning any sort of sequel. Great for kids now obviously.

I meant there are no plans to get rid of Bugs Land at the moment. I personally wish they had a Bugs Life dark ride. Love the movie.

As much as I hate to say this, WDW ended up moving their Mickey M&G, and I think as soon as TDA finds a reasonable way to accommodate that, there is a possibility of Toontown going away.

That said: whatever would replace it is not going to be Star Wars. Toontown is TINY! You can barely do anything with it unless you awkwardly tie it in with the extra Frontierland space, and then you still have berm/train track issues. It's a stupid idea and just like the door coaster that went nowhere I chose to believe it's another piece of MiceChat hogwash that won't end up happening.

They'll find a way to incorporate more Star Wars into Tomorrowland, with Star Tours already being there, as well as a 3rd park. But not Toon Town, which serves its purpose and just needs a nice refreshing.
