I know I keep telling myself the odds of this happening aren't good to keep myself grounded

I went to Carsland it was amazing but this has the potential to be so ridiculously amazing

Some new word out of Blue Sky Disney - it's a fairly long running blog, although the guy there has been relatively quiet as far as rumors go really since the DCA makeover.

First I've heard about Incredibles and certainly an exciting possibility.

Please Disney omg this would be so amazing!

I have no insider knowledge at all. If this is true, and it actually happens, be ready for the chance that it goes in GMR with a new entrance off the side of Pixar Place, with the traditional Theater being turned into a small exhibit area, or something similar in scale. This was the plan awhile back when they were looking to put a Disney Villian's Spiderman type ride into this showbuilding. Which this ride concept sounds a lot alike.

I would be game for this, since I really wanted the DCA concept which was fleshed out quite a bit. At this point though, it would be a pretty large anc pleasant surprise.

I don't think that's true. TGMR would probably get an update. It's the sole reason DHS is even here (and to compete with USF ), and I don't think George would be willing to remove it.

Just saying, that it was a very real plan 10+ years ago and that it was for a ride system/set layout that more than likely is very similar to this current rumor/blue sky idea.

If Disney wanted to make waves, that would do it. I think they have to realize the Incredibles is a fan favorite. If you build it, they will come.

I know we talk a lot about fixing DHS but, even with all the problems that it has and attractions that need replacing, it still feels fresher than the other parks.

I like the atmosphere and the look of the park there just simply isn't enough to do, especially at the cost of Disney's tickets. It also seems to have lost it's way in the fact it doesn't have a coherent theme. There are positives and the rides here are among the best on WDW. It is so frustrating that we keep hearing plans are indeed out there, yet we seem to be stuck where we were years ago. One of the things that drew me to Disney was there innovation and the bold ways they stayed ahead of the competition, what happened?

There are 6 rides in DHS.

1. Tower of Terror
2. Star Tours: The Adventure Continues
3. Rock'n Rollercoaster
4. Great Movie Ride
5. Toy Story Midway Mania
6. Backlot Tour

For $87/day that is a meager roster. And how many of those rides cater to the <7 crowd WDW is aggressively courting? One.

Just think if they would have put the Aladdin spinner at MGM instead.

That would bring the grand total to 7. Ooooooo! But at least they would have TWO whole rides catering to the demo that WDW is aggressively courting. And FPs would be gone by noon for it too.

I would argue 3 of those cater to the <7 crowd. I have a 5-year old sister that very much enjoys going on TSMM, Backlot and Great Movie Ride. She's also about an inch away from being able to ride Star Wars and Tower of Terror. She also loves the shows and Animation building. I understand it definitely needs expansion and i'm not arguing it, but to say only one of those rides caters to <7 is not only incorrect, it's ignoring everything else the park has to offer.

That's not a bad tally for a park that's been dubbed "the show park" since it opened.

A lot call DHS a half day park, I think that's being generous.

Just because they can ride it doesn't mean that it caters to them. How many of the IPs in The Great Movie Ride does your 5 year old sister know? And The Backlot Tour is boring to most kids.Toy Story Midway Mania is actually targeted to those under 7. When my daughter was 6 she was riding Millennium Force at Cedar Point but that doesn't mean that it caters or is even aimed at 6 year olds. As a matter of fact I would say that it is most definitely NOT aimed at 6 year olds.

Well obviously things like ToT and Star Tours the target audience isn't what you said, but that a portion of that audience can't ride and enjoy it. I'm not disagreeing that the park needs more rides for that age range though. Oh, and I honestly don't think my sister cares what is in the GMR. However she's been brought up doing theatre, so that may have something to do with it.

the Backlot Tour is drop dead boring i honestly don't understand how a child would actually be interested in it as an attraction. the Great Movie Ride is a ride for all ages, not just children and you can argue TSMM is meant to cater to kids but in the process manages to appeal to older crowds as well. specifically speaking TSMM is the only ride catering to a child crowd, with maybe GMM to occupy them more than cater to them. i don't support getting rid of Backlot Tour completely, but it's a boring ride nobody actually likes from child to adult that needs to go and make way for the Pixar Place expansion.

- - - Updated - - -

and honestly DHS needs to remain the sort of Universal Studios of WDW, the exciting park that teens and adults want to go to because it's got the cool and fun thrill rides. granted that shouldn't take away from adding rides for kids to appeal to in order to occupy all members of the family, which is why i fully support Pixar Place taking up part of the park and even being expanded, but expand on a Star Wars area of the park since the movie rights are there! go out of control with adding more thrills! WDW needs to compete with Uni on that scale with practically the only real park made to that!

and when does the Hat go? i think they need to use the Great Movie Ride's building as the park's mascot since it's in the middle.

OK I'm in charge now...
Move the hat to outside the main entrance.
Retheme Backlot express to Mos Eisley Cantina.
Retheme Indy stunt show to Star Wars
Knock down the whole American Idol/Sounds Dangerous building and build Indiana Jones Adventure.
Replace Studio Tour and LMA with more Pixar Place.
I love the Incredibles idea and even the Monsters inc trackless concept.
Change some scenes in GMR- lose the whole tour guide/gangster nonsense.
And sorry, but lose Aerosmith from RRC. That band is not relevant anymore. Make the guest into a "rock star"...with nextGen you could have fans screaming your name - put your name in lights on a sign...whatever.
