After going out to DL and having a chance to ride RSR I say bring it east! Having said that, I'll believe this rumor when I'm actually sitting in a new ride vehicle at DHS.

Agreed as long as its not value engineered. I will say I was told its still very much on the table, but again NOTHING has been green lit for WDW.

This park needs something, desperately. Yesterday was my first visit there in many years, and my impression of it hasn't changed-Universal blows it out of the water. The layout is strange and confusing, there are huge sections where there is absolutely nothing (Streets of America), the backlot tour is a mere shadow of its former self and should probably be removed completely, the animation building has been turned into a big meet and greet area instead of the interesting area that actually showed you animation happening, and the wait time for TSMM was just ridiculous. Fastpasses were gone by 11, and at that time, the standby line was 90 minutes; by 1, the wait was 180 minutes. Needless to say, I never got on it. I did love the new revamp of Star Tours, and it was almost a walk on. We never got to ToT or RRC, because we were so hungry and the food choices there so terrible that we went to Epcot and stayed there for the rest of the day. The theming of the park is beautiful and incredibly detailed, but that does no good if there isn't much to do. I would love to see a Carsland here.

The other thing at DHS that I really enjoyed was the Walt Disney experience, or whatever it's called. It was much like the old Walt Disney Story that used to be at MK, and I found it fascinating and informative, and sadly, there was almost no one there.

Your dead on IMO but the thing that surprises even me is that FP's for TSMM lasted until 11

I don't agree with most of what you said other than DHS needs more attractions. What's there is great.

And the food is better than MK and DAK by a mile if you ask me

i agree, its layout is horrendous. i feel like Streets of America could be so much more than it is, and i'm still aboard the Star Wars/Sci-Fi land. it'd add some excitement to the park.

Yes and no to what you said. I still enjoy the drawing part of animation studio a fun little side thing that is really cool for a theme park that size. I didn't walk around the rest of it, but did notice there was a meet and greet. Is there no longer the computers setup for you to do things on? They do need to update the show to a more relevant character used for the show part. They need more attractions and that would reduce the wait time around the park, so I do agree there. They have some of my favorite rides there (TSMM, ToT, and RRC) and some of my favorite things to do (animation). So there are some great things there, just needs more to reduce wait times.

When it comes to food, the food is no worse or no better than Universal Studios. I wonder if both parks struggle with types of places to put into a studios related park. I did love their sweet place got some great desserts there and I LOVE Brown Derby. So there are some positives where I have never gotten a good desert at Uni sweet/bakery type place.

MK and AK both have way better food, so I don't agree with that. While MK lacks in sit down good places, but they have some of the best counter food places and same with AK, their BBQ place is great!

Studio Catering Co and Backlot Express are two of the best quick services in the resort, IMO. And 50s Prime Time Cafe and The Brown Derby are fantastic for sit downs. Fairfax Fair is also good, though I haven't eaten there in a while.

MK has the waffle sandwich place, and I haven't been to AK in years (that's the next Disney trip). MK has decent places, it's just so difficult to get into them without reservations months in advance. And for the prices Brown Derby charges, I could have eaten at Emeril's. Way way way too expensive.

Love the waffle sandwich place, but get the funnel cake or ice cream cookie sandwich. Love to get food and watch the electric parade from there. Love the seafood counter place (no reservation needed), I think it is one of the best counter places. Also, love the two places that have the toppings bar. When you are trying to be healthy a grilled chicken sandwich loaded with lettuce, onions, and mushrooms with a cucumber salad is very filling. When not being healthy, cheese for the fries is awesome!!! There is one in tomorrowland and adventure land. Also, I have walked into Liberty Tavern twice and gotten a table. Oh yeah, the hot dog place (YUMMY) and ice cream place (Love the PB one).

All places in Disney are EXPENSIVE. I expect it at a sit down place. But uni's sit downs are pricey too, but the discount does help. I guess I just don't look at the price anymore because I just know if it going to be at least $35 a person if I go to a sit down Disney place. When I want to be cheap I do counter service. But MK has way more offerings than Universal Studios has in the way of counter service. I personally think MK has one of the best varieties of food next to Epcot. Epcot of course wins that award hands down.

Never been to Emeril's, but any local I talk to says they don't like it and it is over prices and over commercialized. So I never tried it.

Now I do :P Hubby and I just say funnel cake and we both know where to go - lol Honestly I am bad at restaurant names in general. I know where they are and what they serve, but don't ask me the name of them. I know the sit down names, but not the counter service ones. I think because I normally look at what they serve vs what they are called.

Universal also isn't the biggest theme park destination in the world. Dollywood's food choices for instance are better than most of WDW parks.

The best theme park food I ever had was at Hard Rock Park, but the park was so short lived we never got to go back for a second time. It was good the food was good, because the park itself was lacking. Glad we paid for tickets before it was open and didn't pay full price, because full price would not have been worth it. But my husband still talks about how good the food was for park food.
