This is a 2014 map... i've erased everything that has or will close in just the past year or so:

Out of all of the closures, the only replacement is the Frozen sing-a-long in the former American Idol theatre (and technically that wasn't even a replacement since they coexisted.... Frozen just moved theatres).

Technically I'm sure they could add GoTG, as they don't fall under the contract, but it seems like it'd be a significantly dumb decision to do so.

Yeah, they showed the GotG trailer and have had GotG M&G's on multiple occasions for special events. Those characters are fully at their disposal.

And while I think they'll never actually create a ride because they don't want to confuse the consumer with Uni having MSHI, putting GotG next to Star Wars would be an incredible one-two punch and a great transition.

Even if they had a full contract in FL, the answer still, NO!!!

I don't think there would be confusion as long as Disney didn't create attractions already found at MSHI. GotG would be the other big E-ticket on that side of the park with Star Wars and on the other side you would have ToT and Rock n Rollercoaster.

It would 100% create confusion.

"Wow Star Lord! Where is Iron Man, Captain America, and Spider-Man? Oh, at Universal? Let's go there tomorrow!"

Well if there's no hassle with going to Universal the next day, than the confusion is only temporary.
