Yeah, they showed the GotG trailer and have had GotG M&G's on multiple occasions for special events. Those characters are fully at their disposal.

I agree the odds are slim already, but technically they own the Guardians but not the villains. No Ronin, no Thanos, no Collector. Could still refurb RnRC or something, I guess, but anything with a plot would probably be out the window.

I'm guessing the other big footprint, besides Star Wars, will be Pixar. That really won't leave much room for any other subject E ticket type attraction.

Should they choose to rip up all of Animation Courtyard all the way to OMD that would pave the way easily enough space for a ride (possibly a mini-land) to fit.

The BoD being at WDW last week and apparently approving a $2.0+ Billion budget with the lion's share going to DHS.

All of the optimism that has been voiced on Magic concerning the rumored Board approval of huge sums to redo DHS is turning to pessimism on their forums tonight. Posters are alarmed concerning the naming of the new CFO and new Strategic Group planner today. They are expressing fears of a return to tight fiscals. I find this humorous, in a strange way, that the Disney faithful are so easily swayed either way, probably due to the lack of very little true expansion news over the past years. :bonk:

You can't blame them. Hey, i'm on both sides of the fence and I certainly get it. When a company has invested so little for so long, it can be really easy and fun to finally have some hope and something you think to be excited for, but paranoia starts to set in a bit as well as you know we've been through this time and time again with Disney. Promises of expansion, projects "approved", and then last minute everything falls apart and we're back to square one.

Do I think that will happen here? Not a chance, it simply can't with the state the park is in. Do I think there's a chance of budget cuts down the line? You betcha. I won't 100% believe in anything until i'm physically there.

Interesting to note that TDO are hiring PMO, Project Managers and Controllers at the moment. The coverage across multiple recruitment sites indicates is more than BAU hiring.

Well if there's no hassle with going to Universal the next day, than the confusion is only temporary.

I can see the Law Suit: UOR/Comcast vs WDW Park and Resorts. Plus it is an automatic win for UOR. The question is, that IP Restriction is only for FL. Why haven't they done a GotG attraction at the california parks? Oh yeah that's right..... no interest.
