Why do they continue to stick with that horrible Purple color?

Probably cheaper to paint a new tram than to repaint the old ones.

They wouldn't need to repaint the old ones, they could just phase them out. Do you realize how many different iterations of buses (some with completely different paint schemes) are roaming around property?

We're clearly still in the 'that will do' phase at WDW.

You say this as if nothing else at WDW is purple. The whole damn place is purple... everywhere!

That was sort of my point... It was an unfortunate product of 90's WDW management and has never left.

Blue and purple are the only choices. I choose purple.

They ain't gonna put red signs (WARNING!, WARNING!) all around property.

The worst is lavender. The parking entrance to the MK always made me wince.

I had this nutty neighbor, a military guy in FL whose wife told me that his favorite color was lavender and I actually laughed in her face. I assumed she was joking. :saywhat:

I think they changed the color scheme of the parking entrance at MK to blues a few years back. I know it used to be pink and purple. (Not that it really matters. Your point still stands.)

Yes, it's been Blue and Yellow for 2-3 years now.

The Osborne lights seem to be making their way into the hands of Herschend Family Entertainment. 2017 season pass promotions for Silver Dollar City clearly show some of the them.

I mean I've said this before, and I stick to it, this park could benefit from a closure for say even 3-4 months and just bring in a crew to get a ton of work done. The fact that they still charge $97 for a day pass is ridiculous. I'd imagine people who are visiting the area for the first time, who do not keep up with the latest theme park news, probably buy these tickets unknowingly.

They probably sold them around because they had just recently updated them to LEDs. I would think some ended up at SWO and UOR, so we should keep a look out.

Your argument makes little sense from a business perspective. So Disney is charging a lot for a lesser product. I get that and it's wrong. But if guests are willing to pay for it, let them pay. You really don't want DHS to close bc if it does, Wall Street will freak out and Disney will be forced to raise prices even more at the other three parks.

The Osborne family didn't get the LEDs... they simply got their original set of lights back, which was a very, VERY minimal part of the lights. Disney kept the LEDs (actually I believe they were tossed).

What the Osborne family is selling is the Osborne NAME.

I didn't understand. I was referring to the Disney owned lights being sold to other parks. I didn't realize we were referring to Herschend using the Osborne name.

I guess I didn't understand you meant Disney selling their lights. I'm a bit skeptical of that bc they used to destroy their lights after every year of Osborne. It's incredibly easier to scrap them than to carefully take them off of those former SOA Buildings (and carefully store them).

Many of the lights is assume we're, but certain fixtures like the angels, the trees, and the earth probably at least had there structures stored.

The angels, trees and earth actually are the fixtures I was referring to that Disney had to return to the Osborne family. Disney is no longer in possession of those.

That looks like what SDC is getting, the fixtures, I'm sure they'll relight them. the Addition, like Disney will only be a small part of the massive display SDC has. SDC does Chirstmas well.

I thought it worth noting that The Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special did not return this year. DHS was at a lack of space and it was a very popular seasonal offering, but they could've easily taken out Path of the Jedi for a few months and packed in the old Sounds Dangerous theatre. That building would be running at a much higher capacity than it is now, that's for sure.

Of course Disney probably thought it wasn't worth paying the actors anymore so just be done with it and finally put CW to rest for good I guess.
