Either way the fact of the matter is we have three theme parks with no new major attractions built...and its been that way for years and it will be that way for at least a couple more. Unacceptable for the standards they have built themselves to and the money the parks take in.

Wait what three parks are you talking about? DAK is the only park that hasn't gotten at least ONE new/revised big attraction. FLE at MK, TT at Epcot, and PoTC/ST/AI/TSM at Studios all within the past four years. None of this is as cool as Potter but that doesn't make them nice and new additions.

...not to mention the NEW SEATS AT FANT!!!

Unless you got a shot of the car jumping through the explosion at the end, I have a feeling you'll be going back to try and get that shot. ;)

I'm not a "fan" of the show by any means, but I don't think it is as bad as most make it out to be, either. It serves its purpose and is at least somewhat entertaining.

The one time I watched was during this past SWW and I left right before the end so I could get a decent spot for the Star Wars parade, I got some ok shots but none of the finally.

If you consider any of those things at the parks other than Magic Kingdom(those being the three) a new major built attraction. You have an skewed view of theme parks.

Toy Story Mania opened in 2008. As cool as it is, I hardly consider Star Tours a major new attraction, just a really good revamp. Captain Sparrow at the same park...yeah..not major. American Idol? Really? The show that can't even get three people to compete anymore? It was never a major attraction to begin with. This park has gotten the most attention, but none are major attractions. There are no signs of construction work so therefore we have likely at least two years before anything new of major attraction status really comes.

As for Epcot, Test Track just opening this year is another good example of a really good refurb, revamp. It used the same exact ride dynamics and just re-branded it. It was less of a revamp/retheme than Star Tours was. Besides this event what has happened before it at this park? What is happening beyond it? Even if Test Track is passed as a new attraction, the park is still in a sorry state of lack of progress.

We'd be lucky to get 1/3 of that. That'd be a epic turnaround which is unfathomable at this point.

M. Rudolf over at WDWMAGIC seems to be pretty confident that as of now that the current plan is what is listed above. But I would personally switch out Flo's for a Rat restaurant connected to that Rat attraction. I think Flo's would feel really random since they aren't building the rest of Radiator Springs.

My biggest concern with the PIXAR HodgePodgeLand concept is how would they market it? It would end up being just a battery of individual ads for individual attractions. And would fly in the face of the current trend that The WWOHP started of a new grand land. Where as Carsland would be easy to market. And would feel Grander in scope than PIXAR HodgePodgeLand. Even though PIXAR HodgePodgeLand would actually have better attraction. Rat and MI coaster would be far better attractions than Mater's and Luigi's.

I agree on just doing a Ratatouille restaurant. It would be much easier, plus DHS could use a French restaurant.

As for marketing, how about they advertise it as New Pixar Place?

PIXAR Place? I haven't seen that movie. Is it any good?

If anything since we are not likely to ever get a full Carsland of any sort it would be wiser and more likely that they would get a start on all attractions and do what Disney does best...open in slow phases. One ride at a time so the media can hype each one up. Cars ride, Monsters Inc Coaster and a Rattatouie Resturant.

Not to get away from studios, but wasn't there a survey question based rumor a Ratatouille dark ride could replace the french film at epcot?

I love Cars but I don't want to see Carsland here! Monsters Inc Coaster and the Ratatouille trackless dark ride would be amazing to get!

"Captain, they've taken Tomorrowland and they've set up camp on the site of the Battle of Millionaire! What do we do?"

"Don't panic, recruit! We'll rendezvous at Epcot. There are no characters there."

"Sir, they've taken The Living Seas and the latest intel is that they're headed for the France pavilion."

"Battle stations! Green Team, blockade Mexico! Blue Team, to Canada! You boys are coming with me to the International Gateway. Destroy the Friendship Boats with everything we've got!"

"Captain, the rat! He's in the restaurant!"

"Mother of God..."

Funny stuff there jmercer25.

My question is if they import a clone of the Ratatouille ride from the the Paris park would they actually bring this face with it?

Very funny jmercer!!!! and ver nice face layout would be a major build for studios and I agree if we're going to get Pixar rides we should get MI and Ratatouille. Even Radiator Springs Racers is pointless with test track over at epcot

This I have to disagree with. Though it's the same system, the storylines are quite distant. Both appear to be very unique experiences.

Story-lines are different but maintenance is high for both, and I assume this is how disney could rationalize away from building it, being a fan of Cars and RSR I wouldn't mind having it but would like to see something unique to the parks in the states not just another double coast clone

Have you been on both? Because Radiator Springs Racers does everything Test Track does and ramps them up to eleven. It's better in every conceivable way.
